Sometimes it just best to Ignore it

I don’t have any caches on my ignore list. I wish there was an ignore all caches by a specific username option, I would use that button.

here was another “not findable” cache in Indiana that was very frustrating but one you didn’t walk away from until you ran out of daylight as you tried to find this elusive bugger. Funny thing was that it is an ammo can! yeah, there was an ammo can there but the note inside asked you if you really thought that this was a 5D. I found the big ammo can and signed in and off I went to the next cache only to meet up with some others who set me right that I only found the decoy. GC14X33 had 69 DNFs and only 3 finds, the finds coming all together on one day as they were caching together. Not sure if the locals watched it or ignored it.

We don’t use the ignore option. We do have our own list of caches for “someday.” Someday we’ll find this cache, someday we’ll use a boat, someday we’ll walk 5.4 miles for two earthcaches (thanks Lostby7 😀 ), someday we’ll do that puzzle or werigo cache, someday we’ll find this stupid tank hide. It’s such a gratifiying feeling when you do get the smiley on these caches.

We’re interested to see what kinds of caches people have on these lists. And are they more of a someday than a never?

The main reason for using the ignore list is to stop the caches placed in the list from appearing in your pocket queries (as well as the online searches). All the ones on my list fall in the category of “environmentally unsound”, that is a difficult hide in a sensitive area. Since I am never going back to find those particular hides, I have no reason to keep getting them in my PQs.

None on our list. We haven’t yet run into a cache w/in our PQ zone that isn’t worth doing at some point, or isn’t worth figuring the puzzle out on some dark winter evening.

I don’t use the GC “ignore” function but I do have a few caches that I’ll not search for. There are only four left, and they’ll be gone soon enough.

I do use it, but because I don’t really cache anymore and never pull PQ’s it doesn’t really matter. In fact, I don’t have any alerts set up for new caches and the only automated function I use, and just recently turned on to, is the archive alert.

I do have one of my all time favorite caches in there though. A cache I have been to 5 times and have yet to log, and probably never will. I sure do like visiting it though 😉

Don’t have any on the ignore list in the Green Bay area, but I do have a couple down in the Milwaukee area on it. Mostily because of the company that we cache with down there. A few Akran climbing caches that aren’t worth the hassle (or worry).

I could see a few puzzle in my area (GB) that will soon go on my ignore list if they aren’t archived or replaced.
