Yes, with the nice weather we all want to get out to do more caching, and to place more caches for others to find. As for me, I’m getting antsy to get to our current caches to do some post-winter maintenance. We have three disabled caches that we want to get up and running again, and there are a couple of hides we placed after the snow that we want to hide a bit better. Then there are all of our other caches, especially those that haven’t been found since the snow fell, that we want to check on to see how they fared the winter.
Melt, snow, MELT!

03/06/2010 at 5:06 am #1924322we went out today and did a maintenance run checked on 38 caches, found 4 others (one FTF) Was a busy day, going to try to check on more tomorrow, and sunday, hopefully checking on most of our WI caches. Way too much snow in the UP of Michigan, so will have to wait another month to find them yet

WizKid just reminded me I have one cache waiting quite a long time to be replaced. But snow is the issue, and I just never got around to skiing to the site.
03/06/2010 at 3:49 pm #1924324I have one that’s froze in place as well. No email yet, but hopefully I’ll be able to get it out sometime this week.
03/06/2010 at 4:31 pm #1924325Hey CJ! That wouldn’t happen to be one of those “winter-friendly” caches on the Mascoutin Trail, would it? 😉
03/06/2010 at 4:31 pm #1924326Our spring cleaning of our caches has resulted in a whole lot of cache containers we need to donate or dispose of. Maybe I’ll give them to someone going to the next meet & greet in Green Bay and they’ll disappear.

OH NO – Not winter friendly vs. winter findable again. 😆 😆
No actually this is my daughters in Riverside Park (Beyond Center Field). You actually warned me about this hide and were right. Water, Ice, what a mess.

I think there’s another big group getting together to find this one before they lose the “hard water”. It might be just a regular swamp by summer. 😈 😉
03/07/2010 at 2:10 am #1924331Went today and checked the 6 caches we adopted from gotta run. All of them were in good shape and good to go!
03/07/2010 at 3:47 am #1924332Only 4 more ‘H’ints, and you’ll be all set, CJ! 😆
03/13/2010 at 9:06 pm #1924333Gee… It was only eight days ago I started this thread. In the time since, we were able to place a cache, check on the status of a disabled one and get it enabled, do maintenance on some others, and get some coords for a few new hides. With most of the snow melting, we’re getting out in a couple of days after some more drying to get our other two disabled caches going again. Yes, a lot of places are still soggy, but I think we may have made it through another caching winter! Yippee!
03/13/2010 at 9:22 pm #1924334We were going to head out in just a little bit to check up on a couple of ours. Tis the season!
