Did the officer cut open the tongue?

Sounds like a great concept for an “Old Man” series cache. 😈 😈 😈

Not that I know. Matter of fact, I don’t know if he even removed it.
Actually, the more research I’ve done, the more I’m convinced this was part of either a Hoodoo or Santeria silence spell. The cut had 9 cross stitches, which fits the description. If this is true, inside could have been the person’s name.
From another website:
“Turn the paper 90 degrees and write your name over theirs, crossing and covering their names nine times, and as you do so, say, nine times, ‘[Names], i cross and cover you. Come under my command. I command you to hold your tongue.”For GLS and the previous finders sake, I just hope the cache wasn’t stitched inside!
02/17/2010 at 11:28 pm #1922327Well, I took a nasty fall in the bleachers at my son’s basketball game last night! 10 x-rays today to see what the damages were. Maybe it was my cache……? 😯

So there’s a curse involved now? Guess BakRdz is next!
(But we hope you’re doing OK now, GLS!)

😯 😯 And some of us got cousins, brothers, sisters, etc. of Roosevelt? 😯 😯
It’s been nice knowing you all … 😕 😕

Toyota Ryan (er RJ Macdougal) and I hunted for a rural cemetery cache together while marc waited in the vehicle. He had found this particular cache before.
Ground was snow covered. Our foot prints were the only foot prints into the cemetery from the highway. None into the cemetery from anywhere else.
There were fresh foot prints from one of the groupings of stones down to where “ground zero” was. They weren’t ours. We were pretty both sure of that.
Where they came from or how they left the cemetery was beyond me.
Not making this up.
At least there were no animal parts in the tree we searched. (No cache either)
02/19/2010 at 1:05 am #1922335Doing a cache rescue I found a murky rusty cache, so I returned with it to my car, along the way I put the mess in a shopping bag. When I get to my car there is a squad parked behind me. It seems this parkway is known for drug sales and some people have hidden their stashes along the way and use GPS to relocate their product at a later time. So the officer wants to see whats in the bag.
Dump the cache container out near his feet and he sees it is nothing (didnt check much as it stunk). So I go on the next cache rescue which is about .25 of mile away. Find the cache, open the top and find a rather sizable supply of illegal tobacco.02/19/2010 at 3:09 am #1922336@TyeDyeSkyGuy wrote:
Lets see…
A vacuum cleaner, a blender, a GPS unit, A sataltite dish, A tub spout and working water valves and shower head placed on a tree, a phone, exterior globe lighting in a forrest, a pill bottle the size of a 55 gallon drum…
Oh wait, were talking about things that aren’t caches. 😯 😀
You left out the piano….

Don’t know how I could forget the piano! It’s not very often you’re walking through a forrest and run into a full size piano. Signing the keys was one of the highlights of my caching “career”.
02/19/2010 at 3:06 pm #1922338The Piano. Geeze I was a bit chunky then!
