We’ve decided we’re going to hit the road. We want to do the Project Ape cache in Washington State. Basically, turn right at our house and drive 1700 miles to the cache, LOL.
So…..we will probably grab any rest stop caches along I-90, and Earthcaches and letterboxes close by. We’ll spend some time in the Black Hills and Badlands, make a side trip to Chadron NB (Museum of Fur Trade is there).Spokane, Billings and Missoula and Cour d’Alene look like good places to also spend a little more time.
So…..recommended caches within 5-10 miles of I-90 along this route? You know we’ll grab any ECs and letterboxes, but also want to find at least one nice hike in each state. Undecided if we want to go back through ND on I-94 or not, but if we get a compelling reason to do that, we might be convinced. Thanks.
I didn’t know about Geocaching when I was in Washington state but have gone through Snoqualmie once or twice. All I know for sure is it is no fun in winter 🙁
Hope the summer trip fairs better.

While you are out there, be sure to stop by Groundspeak HQ. They have a cache there for you to find, but they got tired of people dropping by unannounced and archived it. The cache does still exist, however. You just need to write them in advance and they will give you the coordinates to the lilypad.
And, of course, you need to visit GCGVOP to make the Ape/HQ/OS trifecta.
