Surprise!

About a year and a half ago I geocached with a Garmin Geko 101. One day I discovered it was missing. After a search of all possible locations I came to the conclusion that I had lost it. I was sad. I bought a SporTrak Map.

Today I was doing a deep clean of my parents’ van (that’s not the surprising part) and found the Geko! Surprise!

Usually I hate surprises, but this was pretty neat. And my last couple weeks and have been pretty cruddy too. I guess things are looking up!

Hey, congratulations!

Some time ago, after a long wet weekend of caching, I noticed a pungent odor growing in my cachemobile. Figuring mold was setting into the interior, I spend hours shampooing the carpet and seats.

I thought I solved the problem when over a week later the odor had become completly overpowering.

I began to wonder if maybe someone hadn’t slipped a dead body into my trunk. With some hesitation, I opened the trunk lid and shuffled a few things aside when THERE IT WAS!

Two pounds of ground beef that must have fallen out of a grocery bag some 2 weeks before…

YUK!
