For those of you who aren’t aware of it or haven’t been following it, a fun new version of Survivor is being played via geocaching over the next 12 months in SE Wisconsin. Each month one of the 12 tribal members will be eliminated. The next elimination (I think) will be sort of like musical chairs. The first 11 to find are still in, the 12th to log the find will be eliminated. Other months there may be other tasks, puzzles, or who knows what to avoid elimination. Unless you get immunity for that month. You can check it out at GC3AWM5. Many thanks to Youngins3 for creating this game. In the end, there can only be one… 8)
01/19/2012 at 12:37 am #1956059I wish I would have gone for it but the notification came on a day where I was really busy. 🙁 Have fun playing, I look forward to seeing all the trash-talking on the logs. May the best team win!

Bec, we should team up and grab the FTF’s on all the new ones even if we are not “cool” enough to be included in the game.
01/19/2012 at 12:57 am #1956061That sounds like a great idea! Then we can taunt them all, like the kids sitting in the back of the classroom. 😉

That sounds like a great idea. It would also be a good warmup for you when you’re both playing in “season two.” Especially if the Cachers of Catan and the young pirates of your gang got involved. Who would be mean enough to vote them off!

I’ll remind you that you said this after you vote them off in the future. 😆

01/20/2012 at 7:41 pm #1956066http://coord.info/GC3A86N is a similiar version of survivor, though it seems slower moving because 6 available slots remain open.
01/23/2012 at 8:10 pm #1956067Thanks John for putting this on here. I forgot about this media outlet. I hope it turns out as successful as it looks at the moment. Be aware to follow any vidoes I post for the series check out my facebook page(Ryan Young) just add your team name in the comments so I know sort of who you are. Thanks

01/25/2012 at 6:58 pm #1956069the farther you get from populated or dense cache areas, the easier it is to get into a survivor game. GC3A86N the first one I have seen pop un in WI still has 6 open spots.
01/25/2012 at 8:08 pm #1956070I’ve snagged a spot on the NE WI version, but all 3 so far seem more like single elimination tournaments vs. “Survivor”.
Where’s the immunity?
Where’s the team concept?
Where’s the challenges? Is the tagline for Survivor – Outwit, Outplay, Outlast?
It sounds like these are primarily only addressing the “Outlast”.
I’m certainly curious to see how these play out which is why I tried to snag me a spot. I definately have some ideas for future modified versions.

Ummm to kinda Quote you CJ, His game, His Rules. 😉
01/26/2012 at 4:24 pm #1956072How do you know CJ there just outlast? The one in the Fox Valley says that they will not all be traditional, so maybe there is some outwit in some crazy puzzle.
it will be interesting to see how these play out, its just more fun IMO.
