Ok so what do you collect out of caches and where do you get things to put in caches?

    i like pins and buttons.

I let Jerry and Jacob trade even up for something if the container has swag. We go to the dollar store for the even trades or to Wally world for the things that are alittle more. I don’t collect anything I just SL!

My daughters like to trade and we carry a pencil pouch full of goodies when they go with. The zipper closure is handy and the mesh side lets them see what they have without dumping everything out.

Me? I’m a sign the log guy but will sometimes take a cool coin / trackable to help it along or share with my family who doesn’t always cache with me.

I just sign the log. I don’t even take time to look at the swag. Occasionally my eye catches something I would like to take, but I don’t because I don’t ever bring anything to trade.

I collect personalized things. Wooden nickels are the prize of my collection. I trade for whatever I have on hand at the time.

I should take a picture of my collection someday and post it…

I seem to collect forlorn little animals, not so much now, but when we started. I couldn’t bear the thought of some cute fuzzy thing spending a cold winter in an ammo can. Even last spring I found a fuzzy bear that had been smushed on the road right near where we parked for a cache, so I took it home, washed it, fluffed it a bit, and added it to the Peanut Gallery here by the computer.

Mr. S doesn’t let me go past the log book in caches these days.

About the only swag I take from caches is carabiners. I don’t know why, I just like them. I carry a few odds and ends to trade for them.

All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.

I actually took a golf ball from one once. It wasn’t even dirty!

Otherwise, we’re sign and leave types too, but if Poohs Pal is along and there’s something age appropriate for him, we’ll let him trade. Like he even cares at this point!

Shot gun shells. I bet I have removed 5 or 6.
If I see something I like, I’ll throw a doller bill in the cache. Otherwise , I just sign the log.

I’m sign the log, look for trackables and head out, but if I have the kids along then it turns into a long deal to trade out. They always love matchbox cars or soldiers.
Have been pulling anything liquid in the containers that I find lately, one of the last caches I found had some glass perfume vials in it, bet that would have been real nice next spring.

I’ve actually aquired several golfballs that were in mint condition.

I am a wooden nickel/pathtag collector too. I don’t have very many of them, but I like ’em. The kids have a shoe box called “the box of fun” filled with every trinket you can imagine retrieved from caches. All of our family gives us unopened happy meal toys to trade. We generally have a grocery bag full of them in the car. If you were at the WGA picnic, we were the ones that left about two dozen Madame Alexander dolls.
