The WGA Board of Directors is looking for your input on the future of the TB Race, which we are hoping will be an annual Event. We have a few ideas in mind, but want to ask the membership for some help.
I, personally, am happy to support the WGA by paying a small entry fee to race. I’m not going to enter 30 racers for $90, but I could!
In my opinion, as a member, the fee shows a fiscal responsibility by the Association to protect it’s treasury assets, while providing a fun game to watch all year. I’m hoping to get our name on the side of the WGA Hauler some year!
Even though I missed last year and will probably miss this year, I support #3 – paying a small fee to enter the race. This will also help support the WGA.
Personally, the greatest reward for me is bragging rights….and of course, the fun trash talk that goes on throughout the year, so I voted for option #1. However, I think that paying $3 per travel bug is just fine also and I would be more than happy to do that.
However, if Jim sends out 30 travel bugs, I will be forced to send out 31, which would cost me $93. I am not sure how Mr. Lacknothing would feel about that. 🙄
The views expressed here are that of myself only and do not necessarily represent that of the WGA board.
I support paying the $3 to enter the race and cover the costs. I think it will be fun to show off our participation tag after its all over. But I do appreciate having a heads up that it’s coming for the next picnic.
Oh the woes of the short geocacher!
