Tonight I got a sad note that one of my TBs was not in the cache it was reported to be in. It’s last log was in April, so I’m afraid it’s really MIA. I was surprised to see that it had logged 10287 miles, which is more than twice the amount of my second place bug. 😯
How many miles does your most-traveled bug have?
Goodbye, little guy; maybe we’ll see you again someday. 🙁
(Oh, one person had been watching this since March ’06, and I finally found out who it was. Their log really made me smile way back when, and I was glad to see that’s who had been tracking it.)

10/01/2007 at 2:08 pm #1879549My coin with the most miles on is my Loved This Cache geocoin http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=846974 Currently it has 18509 miles on it since I activated it in January. It has been to Australia and now is back in WI! I have an other that has traveled over 4000 miles in 3 months and unfortunately several that never made it past the first cache I placed them in.
10/01/2007 at 6:01 pm #1879550My Henwood TB has 14289 miles on it. Goal was to go to Thailand and back. It’s on it’s way home (SORT OF)
10/01/2007 at 9:10 pm #1879551Our most traveled TB is Larry Ladybug who now has 38,225 miles. We released him in March 2003 and later that year Canyon Rose took him to Holland. Since then he has been traveling Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Finland Japan, Canada, New Zealand and is now in Germany. It has been interesting reading the cache pages, sometimes even having to translate them and seeing the pictures. I usually try to write to teams that post pictures or place him in interesting caches and thank them for moving him.
10/01/2007 at 9:30 pm #1879552That pharmteam always beats me. 😉
My Caught Red Handed coin has gone 22559 miles so far. It went out to the east coast, then New Zealand, Australia, and now its been puttering around Germany.
10/01/2007 at 10:03 pm #1879553Not nearly as many miles as some of the above but I released “Flight of the Hemi” http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=784234 Last February it now has 9175 miles. It has been to the Caymens, Quebec, British Columbia, Labrador, Nova Scotia, and New Foundland. So it has been on quite a journey in its short life.
10/01/2007 at 11:53 pm #1879554Our best is my sons coin Alec’s Tribute to Space Engineers Geocoin which has completed it’s journey and is now safely back home after it’s 6,750 mile journey.
On the other hand, we have the Brzeg, Poland” Unite for Diabetes Travel Bug that we released, and has now traveled 15,894 miles, but has not yet reached it’s destination. It’s actually back here in the states less than 250 miles from Kenosha (where we released it). 🙄
10/02/2007 at 2:32 am #1879555One of my WGA Pennisula campout coins has 13830. (Another of these same coins was muggled in the first cache I put it.)
