You worked really really really hard to get all the find your did to get to 1000 YAHOO!!! But….I found out that you actually have more like 1036 now.

I was cruising through House of Brews to see what my stats were and got looking at the HUGE number of finds ecorangers have in one catagory..EVENTS. I came down the list and found your name and saw “2” Hmmmmm I KNOW they were at the Green Bay challenge… I saw them on the trails, I said to myself. Oh nooooo they must have only listed their attendence to the event. After scrolling through hundreds of listigs, there is was!!! a beautiful list of all your finds under “Attended” Well….I can’t imagine that there would be a problem to separate them all relist to get you WELL deserved finds for you first event!

Only mention it cause you guys worked extremly hard and I feel you deserve ALL the finds you got. So…I do believe you can make entries on an archinved file {I’m not 100% sure though} Something you can do on a nice snowy day!!!!

Congrats on an awesome year. Here’s to 2000 in 2006!!

Yes, you can log an archived cache or event. I’ve done it a few times.

I kind of like the idea of what they did in the first place. I can see what caches they did at the event and it didn’t clutter up the event page with multiple logs.

Numbers? We don’t need no stinking numbers!

Remember, people cache for different reasons… People shouldn’t feel bad about their “numbers” whether it be a snails pace they are setting or a numbers chase as someone once put it (or anywhere inbetween). Tami

    Absolutely right Tami!

I just thought I’d point it out as I’d assume they logged the event that way on purpose.

It’s great that everyone can choose how they log their events!

i still wish there was a way to log the event caches separately from the event. then we could have an accurate count of events, and caches. it’s too bad there can’t be 1 cache at the event for logging all the temps.

I agree also Tami!! I just remembered that the GB challenge was Team HB 1st event and wanted them to know they have the option to list on big event or individual finds at the event. did not know if THEY realized the option also. Alway good to be well informed, I always say. I’m rather mushroom at times at work and with some friends…..leave me in the dark and feed me bull poop. ROFLMBO

Can I say poop on here??

Agree with you also djwini. Someday they’ll figure this one out. Seems each state has its own thing they do. Some have a bunch of temps but don’t log them and some do what we do. To each his own I guess, but it WOULD be nice if there was an OPTION. If you think about it, this sport is still in its infantcy (spelling?) with good things to come in the future…..wa can only hope!

First off, thanks to all of our new friends and the rest of the WGA. We wouldn’t have hit the millenium mark without the constant positive energy I feel when we check the boards every day, and when we hit the roads and trails together. You all know who you are.
Second, yes we know the options for logging temps. We thought long and hard, logged it one way, and immediately changed it. I spoke forcefully FOR logging temp finds when the topic was hot in this forum, but the master of geocaching, who will go unnamed for trademark & copyright reasons , needs to make a decision. And if you think it’s not his game, ask yourself if you are a navicacher, a stash hunter or a geocacher.
Thanks for the thought though Fu. One of these days we’ll have to have an all Bunny day. We can even lend Dan some bunny ears.

Kudos to you for choosing the one time log entry for an event. Wonder if I should I go back and do the same I know it has been something many of us have thought about and what is the right or wrong way. Guess it’s up to each individual/team and THAT’s kewl too!!

    I’m even more darn proud of your accomplishments now! {{{Big Grins and smiles}}}

PS YES!!!!.. we need a Bunnies Day out for sure and Dan HAS to waer the ears since he’s not an offical bunny…LOL
