Just received the text from Groundspeak saying they are back up.

I have 259 favorite points pending after the upgrade. Time to explore.

very cool, if you look at your friends or anyones profiles you can see where they put there favorite points into, I like this VERY much! I think they gave us WAY to many favorites points to use however.

Maybe it’s just me but the map BETA is more like ALPHA (unless I don’t get it).

Filtering is coming in a future release and this appears to include seeing the caches you’ve FOUND and OWN. It’s great to be limitless, but which ones apply to me?

Surprized that the stats tab looks so amateurish. They stole the content from mygeocaching profile, but somehow made it look lamish. I am glad to see the stats tab though, even though it aint about the numbers.

Played around with the favorites feature some, and this is a nice step forward. Works well, easy and intuitive. Nice ratio too, and if people use it as intended, it should help make it possible to find the best caches when traveling.

Ralph, You must have been working or have a life or something…groundspeak bought the mygeocachingprofile site.

That said, I would like a way to hide the stats. We have some on our profile, and like everyone else who plays this game, we like looking at them, but I guess when they’re pushing for “quality,” I have to wonder why everyone’s numbers are now even more out there than they already were. Just my strange and probably not popular point of view. I know we don’t need as many “favorites” as we’ve been given….a thought related to my prior comment. 😈

I tried to see the whole alien head out in Nevada on that new map thingie, but it doesn’t show. I know someone found all of them in the past week, so I would think most are still out there.

I have about 290 too many…way to water down the Favorite scheme. I could see maybe 1 favorite for every 30 or 40 finds…not every 10.
