I thought i read somewhere that there is a trail similar to that in Finland/Sweeden And the reocrdin around 600 in one day. No sources No idea where I got this from 🙂

I picked about a dozen at random and guess what. The scenery never changes. Boy does this sound exciting to drive 100 miles or so picking up caches roadside with no change in scenery. I am curious about the diving icon though, so if someone finds one of these that requires scuba gear let me know.

Well, he hasn’t bought his plane ticket yet. We’ll be on terra firma, heading to the Badlands and Black Hills, getting not that many caches and none of them FTFs. He’s reformed….NOT!

I do know someone else who has his plane tickets to find these, though. We’ll stick with our five mile hike in the Hills to find a few letterbox hybrids! LOL And hopefully the climb to Heck Table in the Badlands, if we can get past the threat of Prairie Rattlers.

A Note From the event page (GC24WZ4) on the use of scuba attribute:

We have tried to attach the Scuba Diving attribute to all the E.T. caches. Running a query search for that attribute should get them all for you. We may have missed a few (hopefully not) but this should be an easy search method.

Gary, Dillon Pass is on our list. I don’t know that we’ll get to Harney Peak this trip, but you aren’t the first to recommend it. We figure retirement isn’t too far away and we can make treks out in the fall. This trip is really about going to the Fur Trade Museum in Chadron Nebraska. We just saw how close to the Hills and Badlands we’d be and decided to hit some of those spots. We’ve both done the tourist stuff out there already, so we can skip over those attractions. We’re hoping to get ECs, virtuals and a couple trails in the Hills with some letterboxes. We don’t have nearly enough time….but kenneling the dog isn’t cheap and Trekkin’ hates to miss his banjo lesson.

Wow. Talk about the diversity in caching. A thread started on the mother lode of micro spew ends up migrating to a discussion of great cache worthy places to visit. Wow.

Sorry 😳 I do tend to go off topic….I just can’t seem to get the voices in my head to cooperate while posting….that said there are another 27 caches along my local bike trail as of this morning…now bike path power trails ARE worthy microspew….though these are actually a great combination of micro small and full size…

We saw that, too. Hoping to get back down there yet this summer….we had a blast doing the others there and on the Bugline. Really, the best way to do microspew. Have at it!

Not meaning to stir up any more pro/con discussion on this, so don’t get into it again

Was reminded of this set of caches after seeing that drhass was doing them. Before they get archived or whatever, just check out what the set looks like on a map. Click on the link zuma provided, then go to “check nearby caches”, then “search with google maps”, or do whatever you do to see caches in an area.

The display is awesome to view (as one who is spatially oriented)! Looks like a line of dominoes when you zoom out. They even put an Alien Head design in there (not part of the power trail). View it close-up when you look at the ET HIghway layout, or check out this cache — GC2550R — and do the same thing to see all the caches in the area.

Love ’em or hate ’em (and who are we to judge because we’re not doing any of them), the design just looks cool!
