My family want to go to upper Wisconsin to do some sight seeing of the leave turning colors for fall, and do some geocaching. Where is a good plave to camp that has a fair amount of caches in the upper forests of Wisconsin. Thanks
From what I hear, any of the campgrounds near Boulder Junction would be a good base camp. What kind of camping are you looking for?
copper falls state park is a great place to start… it’s just outside of mellen, and there are some great trails in the park (along with a few caches). there are numerous caches in the chequamegon nat’l forest, plus a few more waterfalls only a few miles outside the park (all with caches too).
for a quick search type in 54546 for the zip.

Gotta put in a plug for my favorite Wisconsin State Park – Amnicon Falls
Eagle River 54521 Rhinelander 54501 Three Lakes 54562 are all good too and not to far from Boulder Junction
