Palm IIIx w/hotsync cradle for sale.
It looks just like this one:

Monochrome screen w/backlight
~4Mb memory (I think)
Good shape and completely functional.
Download the instruction manual in pdf format
Hot-sync software for download available for free here
I have used both Plucker/Spinner and Cachemate with this unit and they both work well.
Requires a computer with an RS-232 serial port (9-pin) in order to hot-sync.
Milwaukee area, or I will bring it to our WGA campout.
Asking $40
Awwww….. come on…..
This is the IDEAL Palm / PDA for paperless caching.
The monochrome screen looks gorgeous in direct sunlight, and for dark / night situations it has a built-in backlight.
It also runs on AAA batteries. I have been running this one on recharagable Ni-MH batteries, but you could use Alkaline ones as well. This is important, because when you are out on a long day of caching, and the batteries run low, they can be easily replaced. You don’t have to find a charger / outlet to keep using it. I have to re-charge the Ni-MH batteries in it about once a month. (More often with frequent backlight use)
Here is an image of the ACTUAL unit I am selling:
You can see it runs Cachemate just fine and it is in GREAT shape.
Make me an offer.
If need be, I can ship it (USPS or UPS).
