You’ve heard of the Slow Food movement? We have been mostly subscribing to the “Slow Caching” movement the last couple years….where we’ve gone to our early caching roots and chosen those caches that promise more than just a quick smiley. We were in New Orleans last week and one of the places we wanted to explore was the National World War II Museum. If you get the chance….go. It presents stories and events in a fairly unique fashion and we were happy to pay the entrance fee. However…..we had an experience while there that really took it to a new level, putting this cache into the Top Memorables for us. I’ll try to link to our log that tells that story, and would love to hear others’ experiences while visiting a cache that took it well beyond just the smiley for them.

A nice addition to the cache visit.
Our “Walk With Angels” cache has a few stories of cachers meeting family members of those that died of cancer.
“Slow caching” is very relaxing, too!
I just looked and we haven’t found that one. In fact, it looks like it’s been a pretty long time since we’ve cached over that way at all. I’m adding it to my “caches of interest” list, but like I said…..we’re into Slow Caching and mostly just do vacation caching these days. Still….one never knows!
You mentioned visiting the Horicon Marsh sometime, for some bird watching. Great time of year for it!
I know, but we’re traveled out for now. I’d like to do a trip there in the spring. I did visit the Auto Tour Loop ages ago in late fall and that was fun, plus we did some hiking in the winter during a LCG event held there. Wow, that was a long time back!
