on the Sagasu consecutive day caching find streak.

In an email from 8/21/2007 7:54:07 PM, notification was made that the consecutive day streak by Sagasu (Team Sagasu) has officially ended at 205 days

The bar has been set. When will this streak be eclipsed?

Ok, its 1205 and I just checked, nothing logged…but one can always back date 😉

BUT! I was privileged to be the #3 person who knew it was over, I could read the pain in the email.

Dave, I’m not sure if I should congratulate you or say FINALLY! I know what it took to get my 18 days…watching you literally and figuratively beat yourself up over getting 1 for the day and how far you had to go to get the 1 I’m glad I didn’t continue past 18.

So you get both, congrats! and I’m glad its finally over for you. I’m also glad to have been on a couple of those with you, its been a fun adventure!

    Enjoy the rest!

I didn’t believe it either until I looked for new logs but it looks official. That is quite a streak Dave, one that I don’t think will be broken for a long time. Now you can enjoy geocaching at a slower pace. Congrats on the 205 consecutive days with at least one cache found!

What stats site do you use? I don’t see him on the itsnotaboutthenumbers site. I know 3Hawks is about 2 months away from the 205 mark, and I’m about ready to give up after about 35 consecutive days…

    Hey Dave,

Big time congrats on 205 consececutive days….that is an amazing streak. They start getting further and further away. There is no way this record will be broken any time soon.

Just one question: Were illegal steroids used in reaching this record, and will this record need an asterisk, or can you publicly proclaim that you have never used illegal steroids.

(If steroids were not involved, then your record will be up there with Hank Aaron.)

I am not sure about steroids… however a source close to the record setter has informed me that there was the possible involvement of “illegal electronics” which were used in obtaining the streak. If this is the case PLEASE come clean now!!!

Dave, this is an incredible achievement and definitely one you could not continue indefinitely. Considering my longest streak is about 4 days, I have no idea how you managed it!

Look at it this way…now you have a chance to start all over! 🙂

Illegal electronics? Not dave…no, I can vouch, it was just a gps and a now inkless printer.

not only just a gps and a now inkless printer but it wasn’t that long ago that I showed him how to enter waypoints into the gps (the Magellan 100 I loaned him to start all this silliness). I’m not even sure that he enters the waypoints or if he just goes ’til the numbers match. 😀
