Looking outside from the breakfast table this morning, things seemed a bit different… Where did all the snow go????????? Wow! Just like overnight here! We were able to get out into the yard and see daffodils, tulips, and crocuses coming up. Our pussy willow is budding, and we saw our first robin. The ice is almost out of the fire pit, so that will get used this coming week. We got our 2010 fishing licenses today, and then we went out to do some caching things. No boots!
Spring fever has hit!!!!!

Same here, but our robins are ornery! Ground is too frozen to let the juicy worms through.
I like craphas so much better then mud and flood.

Yup, we don’t mind the snow…and we like the green and the warm…it’s this slopola we have to endure to get there that is a bit tiring. But like a bad burrito, this too shall pass.

Not sure where you are but I found enough craphas today…
Here in Sheboygan most of the snow is gone, but the ground is pretty sloppy to be sure.

Not to totally ruin your positive moment but…
I found a tick on me this afternoon. My first tick since November. It’s funny how the craphas are never anywhere to be found when the ticks are present.–am I the only one seeing the correlation here?–
I’m thinking the ticks might know something about the craphas. You could ask one of them, but I doubt he’d give you a straight answer about anything. Don’t believe otherwise, ticks only PLAY dumb! They’re actually pretty smart, they just don’t want anyone to know that.

Actualy, ticks are around all year round. According to my dogs’ vet and I don’t think he was tring to sell me more tick stuff. He said that thou they are more prevelent during the summer months, the nymphs and larve are still going strong. And a fellow Up North resident told me that she pulled onw of herself earlier in the week.
