Thanks for asking the question. My questions were eventually answered, so from where I sit it’s fine to close the thread…as long as it doesn’t disappear. I would like for others to be able to read what was said here.

Yes, I object to this thread being locked!!! Having way too much fun reading it.
(And they call me a MajorBrat!…see what you started?! LOL!)
Edited for added thoughts:
Actually, I don’t think you should close the thread. When people have said enough, or read enough, they will simply leave the thread alone. That’s what usually happens to these threads, right?
The only reason some have issue with this one is that it’s not fitting into what they deem as “their ideal thread”…why not leave it for those who want to continue to be here?

Maybe we need a section just for “Things that erk you” THEN people who wish to vent can go there and do so. That way it won’t cause grief in other sections.
Good luck with that one! I’ve seen people trying to get that started for as long as I’ve been a memeber here. It would be a very nice thing, but as long as so many get offended so easily, I don’t see it happening. (IMHO)
01/22/2006 at 11:15 pm #1760726OK, I’ve had my laughs for the weekend.
But instead of ‘closing’ the thread, I would tend to delete it. It over, and done with, so why keep it around. There will be other threads to read in the future.
MB?

NO! Deleting a thread is wrong! That’s just a way of saying nothing posted here made any difference to anyone. That all we’ve said over the last few days wasn’t worth the time it took to read, think, post, etc.
Some people got useful information from the posts here. Let it be.

01/23/2006 at 12:27 pm #1760729I always think of a deletion as added fun – plays with people’s memories, and makes them wonder if they really did read that!
Ok, I’ll let this one alone …….
