:ftp: page 1018 Hubs checks mailbox no matter what!
02/08/2019 at 6:28 am #2062272FTP for a cold Friday morning. Winch on my UTV is frozen, so I can’t raise the plow blade. Hoping that’s all it is and I can thaw it out later today.
All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.
02/08/2019 at 1:48 pm #2062274I really can’t stay, but it’s cold outside.
The buck stops here. . .and gets entered into Where's George.
Where's George? Stimulating the economy one EMS'ed dollar at a time.
02/08/2019 at 2:25 pm #2062275For some reason, this song is rolling through my mind today……
Actually, in our early days of caching, this was kind of our theme song, because….it seemed we never did things nice and easy. Today….other images are coming to mind!
02/08/2019 at 3:17 pm #2062276Anyone else use the USPS Informed Delivery? Email shows scanned mail so you know what’s coming.
Does this happen to work in the other direction? Like, would I be able to see if something I sent was delivered? A postal person told me that they have services like having recipient sign for things, but I didn’t want to resort to that.

Nope.

Love informed delivery
02/08/2019 at 8:04 pm #2062284What the heck is informed delivery, and how does one sign up for it? Just curious.

I started using USPS informed delivery several months ago, great idea! I order a lot of things from online stores and trade a lot of pathtags via the mail, so I like the fact that I get a daily email from the U.S. postal service with a scanned image of each piece of mail that is getting delivered. I did have one pathtag that did not get delivered even though the sender claimed they sent it, but that was a few weeks before I started getting informed delivery. It probably got put in the wrong mailbox or less likely a USPS employee could have stolen it. The sender had thousands of trades and has high credibility. Almost every week we get mail erroneously delivered to us that belongs to a neighbor. Informed delivery would alert us if something was not delivered to us that should have been.
02/09/2019 at 2:45 pm #2062290This is one of the few weekends in which we don’t have anything planned during the day and DON’T plan on finding any geocaches. Unless of course an FTF opportunity arises…
02/09/2019 at 6:48 pm #2062295We’ve found a total of 5 caches this year…it’s been about 35 days since we found one. We have actually been enjoying being free from “needing” to cache…especially when the weather’s been brutal. Trekkin’ may or may not try to do an ice walk cache when he comes home from up north, but otherwise, we have no caching plans in the near future.
Our monthly gasoline bills have been way, way down, too. There are birds close to home. Things to knit. Local music venues to enjoy. Books to read. I’ve been having fun freezing soap bubbles and watching crystals form in them. And….it sounds like I’ll get to do lots of snow shoveling while he’s gone!
02/10/2019 at 6:03 am #2062299FTP Good Morning Sunday! Going out cachin’ on backcountry skis today.
I’d Rather Be Lost Geocaching, Than Found At Home!
