02/24/2019 at 6:38 am #2062431Stealing Sunday’s First To Post. Breezy here with bout 2″ of snow so far.
I’d Rather Be Lost Geocaching, Than Found At Home!
02/24/2019 at 7:31 am #2062432We have about an inch of craphas on top of an inch of slush. Lost power about quarter to six, I have a generator running in the garage so I may get cold but the beer won’t get warm.
Just now the power came back on, though the estimate was about 11am.
02/24/2019 at 7:53 am #2062433Yeah…snow on frozen slush on slush on water.
Now THAT’S fun to shovel!
02/24/2019 at 8:06 am #2062435We’re supposed to get some craphas here, but it’ll be done before noon. That’ll be enough time for me to head out the door to go to a free concert at the local library this afternoon, and I’ll probably grab lunch somewhere nearby while I’m there.
The buck stops here. . .and gets entered into Where's George.
Where's George? Stimulating the economy one EMS'ed dollar at a time.
02/24/2019 at 4:49 pm #2062436Yesterday was sloppy with huge puddles due to the storm drains being frozen over. Snow overnight. maybe about three inches, but thick ice under it all from the sloppy stuff as well as the rain that fell before turning to snow.
And….the snowblower has died. It owes us nothing, but what a time for it to go.
02/24/2019 at 7:19 pm #2062437We got at least 9 – 10 inches here with lots of drifting. The drift on my deck is about 5 feet tall.

02/25/2019 at 7:15 am #2062438FTP for Monday!
A bit chilly out this AM!
02/25/2019 at 7:59 am #2062439I have -4 deg. this morning.
Sure glad I went out late yesterday afternoon and shoveled the drifts off of the drive. This morning I have a couple of new drifts to deal with and will have to get out the pole saw and remove a couple of branches that are hanging almost to the pavement.
There is no way that I can get the drive clear so I guess it’s just sand it and wait for Spring. 🙁
02/25/2019 at 11:15 am #2062440I had -10 this morning. Took the UTV over to my mom’s to plow her driveway. By the time I was done I could not feel my right thumb. Still have to dig out my mailbox, but we had parent/teacher conferences scheduled for 11 – 7 today. District Administrator cancelled the conferences, so I have the day off.

02/25/2019 at 1:37 pm #2062441Everything around here is covered in a layer of thick ice under the snow. I might as well just put the yaks on my boots even to walk out for the mail. I like ice with skates….otherwise, ice is not my friend. Especially when it hides under innocent looking snow.
02/26/2019 at 7:30 am #2062452FTP for Tuesday!
Surprise, surprise! More craphas on the way!
02/26/2019 at 9:08 am #2062453I made it home finally . . .
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
