03/17/2019 at 9:41 pm #2062834Who all had green beer today? Not me, but I had a Smithwick’s at Saint Brendan’s Inn in Green Bay.

for the 18th of March.I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

03/18/2019 at 2:58 pm #2062836I just saw that all ShopKo stores will be closing their doors by some time in June, I knew things were bad when I found out their HQ property in Green Bay was up for sale. A friend of mine works there and is still a couple years short of retirement, but I’m guessing he won’t look for work elsewhere.

03/18/2019 at 4:16 pm #2062837I am a bit out of the loop…or loopy, take your pick. Are there any CITOs planned for spring other than the Minocqua one on 5/4, or sometimes there are Earth Day events? I think souvenirs have been offered some years. I wouldn’t be able to organize anything, but if I can get healthy, maybe I could participate!
03/18/2019 at 5:41 pm #2062838No green beer for me, nor any other alcohol for that matter. I did have corned beef and cabbage, though.

I didn’t think you liked anything that was green.

I don’t mind green, and I don’t mind yellow, but I can’t stand them together. And don’t even say that it’s gold. It’s yellow.

We’re (That’s Hack1of2 and WisJanine) having our 6th annual Earth Day CITO in the Milwaukee area on the afternoon of Sunday April 14th, 2019 along the shores of Lake Michigan in Sheridan Park. It’s pretty epic. It should get published within the next several days or so. It’s always interesting to see what boat parts and whatnot washes up on shore. There’s about 1 mile of park land on the street level that needs CITOing, and another 3/4 mile or so at the shore level below by taking the paved switchback path to the dirt trail below. See pictures of previous CITO’s at Sheridan Park at GC728B1, GC5QCX2, GC7JDMB, or GC6AM7T.

seldom|seen is looking for someone to take over the Fox Valley CITO. King54130 was interested but is looking for more people to help.
