Here’s the birthdayĀ :ftp:!
Thanks for the birthday wishes. Did some cache maintenance to celebrate. Also a funeral visitation…oh, well.
:ftp: for tax page 1040!
04/12/2019 at 10:48 pm #2063039I kinda forgot there were two Jims in here.Ā Happy birthday Jim of Linda.

04/12/2019 at 10:53 pm #2063040I went to Brillion tonight to see Daddy D perform a show there, little did I know that I would cross paths with one of my middle school teachers while there.Ā It was one of the two band teachers that I had when I was that young, and he was in the show tonight.Ā If anyone goes to my Facebook, I uploaded a video there for all to see.

04/13/2019 at 7:37 am #2063042FTP for the day AFTER my birthday!
04/13/2019 at 7:44 am #2063043Here I sit with zero cache carnival points. There is an event in Wausau this afternoon and a few new caches in the Wisconsin Rapids and Waupaca areas. Guess I just don’t get that excited over souvenirs.

It was fun to gain points toward the souvenirs by other’s submissions of “favorite” to our caches. Those 25 points per favorite can pile up in a hurry.
04/13/2019 at 12:45 pm #2063046Screamin’ Mimi 60 and I took the long trip down to West Bend on Tuesday and easily got all our souvenirs thanks to all the caches with 50+ favorite points. š
Oconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)
04/13/2019 at 1:49 pm #2063047I got 15 points by attending the event I hosted on March 28, and I think that was enough to get one points souvenir in addition to the Event Souvenir that day.Ā After that, I only found two caches for an additional three points each.Ā It looks like I have a total of 21 points for that.Ā It should also be noted that the second of those two caches was a long archived cache that was still in place.Ā Yes, I intentionally sought out an archived cache.

I second that, probably some of the easiest souvenirs I have gotten sitting at home. Only found like 3-5 caches all worth only 3pts, rest where from the 15 points from todays event in Madison otherwise the rest were from getting rewarded favorite points.
But sadly at the end of today, I am close but no cigar for that last souvenir š

Definitely NOT useless drivel!!
04/14/2019 at 8:21 am #2063053I was hoping that we’d stay on page 1040 until tomorrow, that would have been funny.Ā You know why they call it the 1040?Ā For every $50 you make, you keep 10 and the government keeps 40.Ā For some reason, I remember that joke from many years ago, I think I heard it on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

04/14/2019 at 9:02 am #2063054We ended up with more of the souvenirs than we expected.Ā I think we have 326 points and no plans today, so that will have to do it.Ā We didn’t get the event one, either.Ā Jim, we’re with you….the souvenirs aren’t “the thing” they once were for us.Ā Yesterday we almost doubled the number of our cache finds for the entire year.Ā A bird sighting got us to Rochester for some the other day.Ā Travel to Stoughton for a concert and an overnight got us most of the rest of them yesterday.Ā Seems the only caching we do anymore is if we’re going somewhere anyway and see some things we’d like to find.Ā I’d planned another trip for the end of this month that was caching/birding related, but looks like we won’t be able to do that one now due to other obligations that are more important.Ā Ah well!
