:ftp: for the second time in a month?
With my 40 minute commute now, I’m catching up on Larry Meiller Show podcasts (the way we first heard about geocaching years ago). They were talking about ticks and mentioned the U-Oklahoma has a study going on tracking where ticks are, what species are in the country, and what diseases they are carrying. For free, you can send them your ticks and get a report back about species and any diseases found. There’s more on the internet, but I haven’t had time to look into it. I know we sure have more than our share at the new house.
Speaking of the new house, one good thing has finally come up: morels! We’re finding them all over, just like the ticks. Going price seems to be $25/pound. We need money badly to pay for all the repairs, that may help a little bit. Not sure how many we have, but they seem to be popping up wherever we look. My wife is seriously talking about having someone come in and tear down the old barn just to sell off the lumber. I’d hate to see that thing go.
The best sig is no sig.

I have to admit, I’m a bit disappointed that this post didn’t get a few comments.
I don’t see what you’re driving at
I’ve been posting the number of days of school left. This is ‘Number 2.”

Nice French manicure . . . have fun on your last day Jim!
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

06/01/2019 at 10:28 am #2063428June 1: Happy National Trails Day
National Trails Day is established to celebrate, improve and enjoy America’s magnificent trail system. It is the nation’s largest celebration of trails, and all that goes with it. In addition to the national trail system, there are countless miles of state, county and local town trail systems for you enjoy. While today is a celebration of national trails, it is perfectly fine to celebrate all trails in our great nation.
Trail systems are enjoyed for a wide range of activities, including:
- Hiking
- Biking
- Horseback riding
- Bird watching
- Geocaching
- Many other activities.

I saw you found Bartrod’s cache there. That DNF you posted in another part of town, I think it’s been MIA since last fall. I should know, I decided to check on it myself.

Good to know it was the cache that was MIA and not my rusty caching skills!
