FTP for Friday August 2.  Willie Nelson had a concert last night in Green Bay.  I am 420 miles from home in Saint Louis, Missouri.  Coincidence?  Yes it is.  On my way out of town, I decided to claim that virtual in TR for my third Topaz in the Mystery at the Musuem.  Then I got my second Ruby here in Saint Louis.  First time I’ve found caches in the same day in states that don’t border each other.  I was able to avenge a DNF on the cache in Saint Louis.  Both got favorite points.  After getting some shut eye, I’ll get up in the morning and hit up Forest Park to see what kind of damage I can do there.

The buck stops here. . .and gets entered into Where's George.

Too much to do, not enough time to do it all.

It’s Saturday in Saint Louis, and it looks like I only need one Ruby, one Diamond, and two Emeralds before I can eventually finish off the Souvenir promotion.  I really made a dent in Forest Park yesterday morning.

We have decided we don’t need all the souvenirs from this particular promotion.  We got the detective and that will likely be all we get.  If we were traveling or something, it might be a little easier, but we don’t want to drive all over kingdom come for little images on our profile.  It’s kind of a fun promotion in the way it’s set up, it’s just not practical for us right now.  It’s not Pokemon, after all.  (Gotta get ’em all!)

That said, we did actually find a cache today.  Boy, was that a workout, but we had fun and I found some wild berries, so it’s all good!

I have the detective souvenir but the others will require some traveling. It’s gotten harder and harder to keep up with the souvenirs…too few caches to be had around here anymore 🙁

Playing detective in a different way tonight…Clue, The Musical.  A random draw determines the solve for each show. Predictions, anyone?

Home early from camping. Storm #3 in 2 hours took down 3 of 4 tents! It was one of the strangest string of storms I’ve ever seen. About 5 minutes between #1 and #2, then about 90 minutes until the wind storm with minimal rain hit. We sat in the car for #1 and #3 , but sat in the tent and listened to the heavy rain for #2. Hope my grandson isn’t scarred for life by his 1st campout!

I had a fun day today in suburban Saint Louis.  There was a washer tourney, an my team pulled ahead with five straight points, but we ended up losing 13-10.  I’m famous for having thrown one on the roof four years ago, so I agreed to throw with my back to the house.  I would then have to be a terrible shot if I landed one on the roof.  I head back on the train tomorrow morning, though I really enjoyed my time in Saint Louis.  I think I’ll do this again next year.

FTP for Sunday.  Yikes!  Where was the campout?  Just a couple brief downpours for me.  It was Colonel Mustard with the Wrench in the Study.  I used to be good at Clue, but tonight was a challenge.  Fewer than 10 people in an audience of about 150 got it right.
