All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.

That made me so sad . . .
December 12th.
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

08/15/2019 at 8:11 am #2063951Chicago Cubs fun fact of the day, their AAA team is based in Des Moines.
I knew that, actually.
One of the other attendees of this Where’s George gathering I went to lives in Des Moines. He’s a Cubs fan who was given several options on where to go for a work transfer, and he picked Des Moines so he could attend Iowa Cubs games.

08/15/2019 at 10:01 am #2063952Got both porches painted this weekend. Time for pictures and the listing to sell. If your looking for a nice Victorian house in a great school district, let us know!
Where are you moving? I thought you recently moved where you are now as your move to a location that was less stress for you in ways of work and of upkeep.
08/15/2019 at 8:19 pm #2063955Just popping in to Fond du Lac for awhile.
There’s always upkeep on a home!
The market is good right now.
Fewer steps in our “old age”.
But I’m feelin’ it today.
No work on the road, so I was doing detail stuff getting the house ready, as the sign went up out front today.
New roof shingles and porch fixed. A bit more caulk and some paint should finish it off by Monday.

08/17/2019 at 8:28 am #2063961I’ll be heading out the door soon to make a couple of attempts on caches. I’ll be back this afternoon to update everyone on the results.

08/17/2019 at 8:35 am #2063962The website continues to be in a sorry state. The only way I can access anything in the forums is through the “recent posts” or “recent topics” link 🙁

08/17/2019 at 12:52 pm #2063963I’ll be honest, I could have claimed that WhereIGo cache years ago when I was with the CO. I didn’t have the proper equipment at the time and decided to play honest. Besides, it would have robbed me of the chance to properly play the cartridge. I had started the cartridge last October, and finished it in June with hopes of making the find at either time. With the cache being MIA for over a year, that couldn’t happen. After placing said cache on my watch list, I noticed it had been replaced. Third time’s a charm, and I get a souvenir on the find today.
