09/26/2019 at 9:16 am #2064226I would have to say that Big Jim and Hack are both very loyal.

Good luck in your move Jim.
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

09/27/2019 at 8:44 pm #2064235At the end of next July, I will be dusting off that Saint Louis pocket query I have. I just booked my train for a round trip for my annual Where’s George gathering that I like to attend.

09/28/2019 at 8:47 am #2064236Now that I’m taking FTP for Saturday the 28th, I’m guessing I will be the only post for the day. Prove me wrong.

09/28/2019 at 1:02 pm #2064237Went to an estate sale this morning. There were some 1950’s era Boy Scout patches that I wanted for my collection. The sale began at 9:00. I got there at 9:15 and the patch box was picked clean.

09/29/2019 at 9:55 am #2064241It looks like the NL Central Division comes down to today. If the Cardinals win or the Brewers lose, the Cardinals win the division. If the Brewers win and the Cardinals lose, that forces a tie breaker game between the two to determine the division champ. We’ll see what’s in the cards today.

This is the one time when I’m rooting for the Cards. Normally I would support the Brewers in this position, but the Milwaukee fans really pissed me off when they were cheering at the final scores when the Cubs lost in their last series against the Cards. They should have been rooting for the Cubs. If the Cubs had one those close games last week, the Brewers would be in first place now and not depending on today’s outcome.

That’s something I wasn’t aware of. Any reasonable Brewers fan should have been rooting for the Cubs considering the playoff implecations that late in the season.

09/29/2019 at 4:38 pm #2064244Looks like the manager-less Cubs phoned it in today. Good luck in the wild-card game, Brewers.
