That’s something I wasn’t aware of. Any reasonable Brewers fan should have been rooting for the Cubs considering the playoff implecations that late in the season.
I have a friend who lives in Milwaukee and attends most of the home games. He posted that the crowd went nuts when the Cubs/Cards final score was announced. That was 9/21 and the Cards won 9-8. Same thing the next day with another 1 run win for the Cards.
All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.
09/29/2019 at 10:04 pm #2064246To think, the Brewers had the chance to take the division this weekend and they screwed that up. I bet those fans regret cheering when the Cardinals won those two games.

Good Morning!
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

09/30/2019 at 11:47 am #2064250Looks like the manager-less Cubs phoned it in today. Good luck in the wild-card game, Brewers.
That resignation really blew me away. Who quits like that?

09/30/2019 at 1:56 pm #2064251The fired the guy before the final game? Wow. At least wait until after the game to make the announcement.

09/30/2019 at 6:44 pm #2064252We’re back. Our son dropped us at AmTrak on 9/14. We arrived in Memphis on 9/15. Departed there 9/16 in the evening on the American Queen. Got chased off the boat 9/23. Picked up our rental car after spending 2.5 days in NOLA, taking the leisurely route back home, rolling in yesterday around 2:30PM. Boy, was that a splurge! And worth it. We did realize while talking with many nice folks cruising along with us that we were running with a crowd mostly out of our league. People who own several homes around the world kind of league. Amazingly, one of the assigned dinner mates at our table graduated from the same high school as me one year before me. I am not sure what the odds of that might be, but I’m guessing fairly astronomical.
10/01/2019 at 9:52 am #2064255Is everyone still sleeping on this fine October morning? I’ll claim the FTP for the month of October.

Waiting to hear if kitty came out.
10/02/2019 at 5:07 pm #2064267She is out of the box. I thought she was missing this afternoon, but we found her under the bed spread, between the pillows. She is supposed to know better but we cut her some slack.
Over 5 inches of rain here last night. The golf course across the road is a reporting station and my gauge was running over at 3 1/2 inches!
No craphas yet…
10/02/2019 at 10:49 pm #2064269It’s another rainy night in Green Bay, and it’s already the wettest year on record here.
