          First full week of October!

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

It’s getting colder out these days, high will be in the 40’s this weekend in the Green Bay area.

The buck stops here. . .and gets entered into Where's George.

We completed an alphanumeric nontraditional challenge ages ago. Neither of these are near sandland, but they aren’t way out there, either, if you find yourself heading either direction. Those are good, but I’m not able to do that much travelling to get that far from home.

          New house/Old house update time:

New house… now has a working oven!! First thing cooked: chocolate chip cookies. I don’t think there will be any left by the time I get home. Plumber needs to disable the unused/old shower hookup in the basement so they can finish moving the electrical box.

Old house…will be listed for sale through a realtor soon. I got a cold email from a former teacher and decided to follow up. We will be his first sale if things go well once he gets it listed (really, I should say “once we get it painted and cleaned out”).

Progress! Maybe I will have time for caching once the sports teams’ seasons end.

I just discovered the new “oldest in the counties” info….thanks for putting that together!Ā  I had an old one with quite a few that were archived over time, and it wasn’t always easy to figure out which was the oldest one now.Ā  We’ve got about 2/3 of them and keep putting them on our lists whenever we get a chance to head one direction or another.Ā  Sometimes…we even managed to stop and look for them, LOL

I have only found 18 of them, so it looks like I have some traveling to do.

Turns out I’ve found nine of the oldest caches by county.

I don’t have many of the oldest list found yet, but the list tells me I’m under 40 miles from 6 of them.

I’m super excited about the oldest caches per county list! What do you all think about having a pathtag made for those who complete the list?

On the downside today, I got hit with a migraine this morning and then one of my filling fell out šŸ˜• it’s been a long morning.

Thankfully, the dentist can get me in at 12:10. No caramel apples for this girl anytime soon!
