10/31/2019 at 8:20 am #2064476HAPPY HOWLING!
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

10/31/2019 at 8:35 am #2064477The weather outside is frightful, and the craphas is so delightful. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
The buck stops here. . .and gets entered into Where's George.

10/31/2019 at 12:26 pm #2064479Remember scrapbooking? I have donated so much of my stuff to worthy programs and still could make cards and stuff into the next century with what I still have. Another of those OCD type pastimes!
Love scrapbooking! It is one of the things I have been passing the time with as I recover. It can get expensive, so I limit what I choose to scrapbook.
Debby, Tell me what kinds/colors/themes you’d like. I probably have stuff here I can send to you. Seriously. I was on a few design teams back in the day and they were happy to feed my habit to show off their stuff. Plus all the other stuff I accumulated. I would love to pass some of my largesse on to someone I know who can use it. I gave a lot of stuff to the local addictions center when they were starting a women’s craft program there.

Same to you!

11/01/2019 at 9:10 am #2064483Halloween will be on a Saturday next year. I got together with some of my neighbors and we decided to do an adult trick or treat next year and call it Crawl-De-Sac.

All that screaming you will be hearing in the middle of the night will be people “falling back”!
Change those clocks!
11/02/2019 at 1:24 pm #2064486Considering snowbird-ing. Our son and his family are safely out in CO now. Trekkin’ is sick of our long winters, but we do enjoy *some* winter still. So…..I looked into Air BNBs in Natchez MS, one of the towns we visited on our trip that we enjoyed. We could rent a cute little place right downtown (probably we walked right past it) including our dog. I don’t want to be gone all winter and I don’t want to go to some snowbird park, but a month away in February to explore might be fun. We’ll see…
The host is even a saxophonist. Wonder if there are arrangements for banjo, sax, dulcimer and howling dog?

11/03/2019 at 6:51 am #2064489Selling the house and moving to an apartment is the in-between step to snow birding for us. I left 2 shovels and a Yooper Scooper for the new owners and only packed 1 for us. I will enjoy watching someone else relocate the craphas this season! Already planned a short trip south for us in a few weeks, too.
It sure got light out early this morning…
11/03/2019 at 8:14 am #2064490Well, we’re doing it; have a cute little apartment booked for the month of February in Natchez. We talk about downsizing, too, but it hasn’t happened. We’re going to talk with the neighbor who loves running his snowthrower if he’d like to earn a few bucks running it down our sidewalks if it snows. Our son can check on the place a few times a week before or after work. We should be good.
11/03/2019 at 8:22 am #2064491The clock in my basement workshop is again correct. It takes a bit of patience to fix some things.
