11/22/2019 at 7:09 am #2064829I like Orange Friday. I like it especially hitting 1,122 on 11-22.
A good friend of mine from Italy is celebrating his birthday today. However, he is in Jakarta for work. It’s a little after 8 pm there in case anyone wanted to know the time difference.

11/22/2019 at 8:32 am #2064830Weird. I was just thinking, “I wonder what time it is in Jakarta?”
Oh, well…

11/22/2019 at 8:39 am #2064831Happy fifth anniversary to the current Thread Stealers thread. I’m sure it’s actually older than that, but that’s as far back as the current forum goes.

Great observation HH. I think it’s been 5 years since the website rebuild was complete.

11/22/2019 at 9:35 am #2064833Today I received a phone call from a scammer who claims he was with the social security administration. He claims potential felonies and fraud have been linked recently to my SS number and I needed to get it straightened out OVER THE PHONE with them right away, or by the end of the day I would get arrested and my house and car and all my possessions would get seized. I laughed and asked him if he actually gets people to believe him with a line like that. He then told me to f%&# off. He was a bit had to understand with his Jakarta accent. 😉

I got one of those calls the other day. I told him I didn’t have a social security card because I wasn’t from this country. I got hung up on. Darn!

11/22/2019 at 11:31 am #2064835I have never received a scam call, but I guess I’m getting to the age where they may think I’m getting vulnerable. I also don’t get survey calls for Wisconsin elections and such because we still have our Oregon phone numbers. No one ever polls Oregon. We do get calls from there that are scammers or telling us we “won” hotel stays.

11/22/2019 at 12:19 pm #2064837I subscribe to nomorobo.com which filters most robocalls on our landline…those that get through, I don’t answer if caller ID doesn’t recognize the caller. Unfortunately, it’s not going to filter out those political ones that will surely be starting soon:(

We have received that one and Trekkin’ had fun when he decided to pick up, as he did this time. He automatically says, “Hello, Mike’s Plumbing and Heating Co.” The scammer went onto his storyline and Trekkin’ says, “Hold on while I connect you to the plumbing desk, as it sounds like you’re full of sh**!” then hung up.

11/22/2019 at 3:26 pm #2064843Every so often, I’ll look for videos on a YouTube channel call The Hoax Hotel. The guy who runs the channel uploads videos of himself wasting the time of these scammers.

11/22/2019 at 3:28 pm #2064844I went to Pizza Ranch today for lunch. I was talking to one of the gals working there and I might have used the word craphas during our conversation.
