for 01-08-2020 . . . there’s a little chill in the air today.I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

01/08/2020 at 9:30 am #2065381I’ve taken to wearing a fleece jacket almost all day at work because I keep pens, markers, keys, etc. in the pockets for quick access as I’m walking around my classroom. I also wear it to/from work. It sure wasn’t enough when I went to the barn this morning! As I was driving, the temp on the car said 0. I need to start looking at the temp before I go outside dressed like this.
My department chair just let me know there’s a math opening in Wautoma – not that he wants me to leave. The high school is ~1 mile from my house. The Population Center Challenge cache is in between me and the school.
I think the new teacher they hired this year washed out.
I looked at the listing, and the classes are not interesting. Plus, I want to teach social studies, not math (which is what I teach here in Adams (and enjoy)). If they would give me what I made in Oregon, I’d think about it, but the thought of leaving my students, the great staff I have here and starting all over again…no thanks.

You are very dedicated. That’s admirable.

01/08/2020 at 4:29 pm #2065386Okay, so I don’t carry a wallet with me whenever I go anywhere. My thing is that my cash is in a certain pocket, rewards cards in another pocket, identification in another pocket, and my phone and pens in a fourt pocket. I left the house this morning with my phone, pens, cash, and rewards cards. I didn’t realize I left my identification at home until I was halfway through my day today. I got home and found that on my dresser. So I guess I don’t need a replacement form the DMV any time soon.
The buck stops here. . .and gets entered into Where's George.

01/09/2020 at 11:44 am #2065393I have to log in every so often. I view the site from my computer, not a phone (which I don’t own).
We saw the Steep Canyon Rangers in Viroqua last night. Wow, were they awesome! Once the show was over and people were getting up, we realized some friends were literally right behind us, so we got chatting as we slowly left the theater. Ended up chatting with the band’s bass player for a long time along the way. Fun night!

I don’t mind having to log in every so often, I suppose it’s for security. Yesterday is when I started to have to log in every time I visit the site, even with checking the box that says to remember me.

01/09/2020 at 7:12 pm #2065400Me too. I used to go weeks without logging in.

01/09/2020 at 7:49 pm #2065401No issues for me with not logging in. I typically don’t, unless I am going to post. Several WGA website versions ago, you used to be able to see who was on the site if you logged in. That was a nice feature. I guess it would be obsolete now. 🙁
01/10/2020 at 6:46 am #2065402FIRST ON FRIDAY THE 10TH Have a great weekend. Maybe it will be a snow-globe for the Packer Game?

I usually always have to log in . . . but you can still see who is online on the home page. It tells you how many users and you click on it and it shows you who is here.
