01/17/2020 at 10:28 pm #2065520Had a middle school girls basketball game to supervise after school, then drove to Pittsville for a wrestling meet. The co-head coaches are retiring at the end of the season, after 20 years of coaching together. One is a good friend and the other is my son-in-law’s sister’s father-in-law … so we’re practically related 🙂 After the meet there was a gathering at a local establishment. That’s why yesterday was a long day, and why today was another long day. Now I’m going to go to bed, so that I can get up tomorrow and clean the snow out of the driveway.

01/17/2020 at 10:51 pm #2065522Well, that’s not nice! If you’re going to be that way, I may have to post the temps here every day…80 🙂 And HH, nobody likes that hodag!
You must be the only nobody out there.
I’m curious if there are any spots to get egg rolls anywhere from Oconto to Marinette. I’m asking for a friend.

01/17/2020 at 10:52 pm #2065523By the way Rod, thanks for affirming for me that I’m not nobody.

01/17/2020 at 10:54 pm #2065524Uh wait, I got that backwards. I’m nobody, and I like my Hodag. And you must really think you’re somebody.

01/18/2020 at 8:06 am #2065527I think we are on the low side of what they predicted here. I haven’t been outside yet, but it looks like about 5 inches.

Oconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)

That really is sad news to hear.

🙁 I saw that. So sad . . .
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

Never good to see that kind of story.
We’re on the low end of the snow predictions here as well. Maybe three inches more? I’m tempted to at least drag my skis to the sheltered trail by the lake for a bit. The winds are not nice now, but this too shall pass. I did walk to the library to pick up three books written by a Natchez author that are set in that area. I’m calling it “research.”
01/18/2020 at 3:39 pm #2065533The weather man said that the snow would stop by 10:30, and it did, but now it is snowing again. Grrrr.
