I’ll take FTP on page 1,161 while I’m at it.

The buck stops here. . .and gets entered into Where's George.

I just went out to check on the craphas conditions, shoveled a path to the garage. At 1 pm the craphas levels are 6.5″ at my back door and 7″ in front of the garage.

We got about 7 inches here. It stopped about 4:30 and the clouds cleared and the sun came out for a few minutes before it set.  Got the solar panels cleared and the driveway plowed. Now I need to write lesson plans for this week.

I’ll send it all your way tomorrow, or I could just send my Hodag.  Take your pick.

We got about 6 inches of craphas here.  Nice timing for the shearing pin on my snow blower to break.

6 inches by my estimate here too.  My work commute takes me through six municipalities.  I can sure tell where the boundaries are by the plowing. Two roads cross three municipalities each.  The road can be fine, and then suddenly…not.  Then there are the side streets, which by contrast, were excellently cleared!

Wake up folks.  I didn’t think I would have another FTP for a day this week, but here I am claiming it for 2-11.

I got caught up in work right away or I would have posted.

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

We’ve been experiencing off and on rain, so we get out and wander around to explore when it’s dry, and do some of the rainy day things otherwise.  Today we learned about Muscadine grapes, unique to the southeast coast and pretty much wild….by visiting a little local winery.  We picked up the CD for the cemetery tour and we’ll do that in a bit.  We explored it earlier and it’s humungous, but we didn’t have the audio tour that day.  Stay warm.  It’s about 50 here and people are talking about “how cold” it is.  Perspective.

I was in Augusta, Georgia in the early 90’s, during one of the coldest periods ever. Lows got down to the teens and highs were in the mid-30’s. The day we left the temperature was in the 40’s, and I forgot to write down the mileage when I returned the rental car. I ran out the the car sans jacket, and  the attendant there thought I was crazy.
