All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.
03/09/2020 at 6:25 pm #2066072I saw a bunch of different birds today, Birdin’…visited some friends in Mission, TX who are in an RV park near the Rio Grande. They showed us a barn owl nesting in a nearby palm tree. Then we took a walk through the neighboring state park which is a bird sanctuary and saw kiskadees, chachalacas, green jays, Altamira orioles at some of the blinds/feeding stations…even a javelina š But still no armadillo š It’s amazing how spring has sprung around here…the trees are budding out in their spring green finery and there’s a multitude of flowers blossoming. It’s going to be tough to leave on Sunday.

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

03/10/2020 at 3:09 pm #2066076We’re starting to organize a fundraising birdathon through our science classes. Exciting stuff!
I got a notice that Seekers732 archived their only remaining cache. I wish there was a way to notify people they can put caches up for adoption if they are getting out of the game. Oh well.

Our maple tree is budding already, so there’s hope for you when you get back here. For the three years we lived in Oregon, we never saw a rattlesnake although they lived in our valley. We were on the southern side, so there wasn’t any decent sunning spots for them.

My father once told me that in his youth ( mid 1920’s) that he and his buddies used to hunt rattlesnakes in the area of Rattlesnake Bluff just South of Adams. Never said if they caught any.

Ok, now the name of all the caches in that area makes sense!

03/11/2020 at 3:24 pm #2066081for 03-06-2020 . . . did everyone read the BOD minutes? Not quite sure how I feel about this forum ānot being valuableā. I think its a great way to keep in touch.
Yeah, I wasnāt too keen about that comment.
They must have meant that _____’s comments in here weren’t that valuable.Ā (Insert name of geocacher you wish to burn) š

for 03-12-2020. CANNOT believe they suspended NBA & G-League play for the season. I guess what’s best for the masses is the best precaution for spreading the virus. The NCAA tourny is going to be interesting to watch as well with no fans in the stands . . . .I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

I like that they are going to post the meeting minutes each month publicly however. Kinda a good way to show progression of the yearly agenda.

03/12/2020 at 7:27 am #2066084Posting monthly minutes would be a good thing. Not so good Up North today with SNOW predicted this afternoon. Wet, heavy stuff at 37 degrees! No robins yet, but usually around St. Patrick’s Day they appear.
I saw a good one: Days before St. Patrick’s Day can be called St. Practice Day. Get your green on early! and of course the beer and whiskey flows green!

03/12/2020 at 7:37 am #2066085I’m not too concerned with what the NBA does or doesn’t do. I had always considered dribbling to be a fundamental part of the game and when they made it optional to pump up the show I quit watching.
03/12/2020 at 7:42 am #2066086Ugh! My daughter and her family are headed to Disney World next week…will they shut that down too? The grandkids would be greatly disappointed. And we have a cruise on the Danube scheduled at the end of April…maybe? š
