Are you slipping BigJim? It’s National Donut Day!
I’d Rather Be Lost Geocaching, Than Found At Home!
06/05/2020 at 12:23 pm #2066639We were lucky as far as any damage from those crazy storms the other night. I was hiking and birding a favorite area yesterday and there were a couple big trees down over the trail that I had to shimmy over to continue.
I am giddy with excitement….tomorrow my friend and I are getting together to do a socially distanced activity…kayaking one of the canoe trails in the area. I already got my saddles on the roof rack. We decided we’ll wear our masks when helping one another get our yaks off the car tops, but once in the water, we should have plenty of social distance between us. This will be my first social outing with someone besides my husband in almost 4 months.

Donuts are not on the diet.

06/06/2020 at 7:04 am #2066644I kept crossing the Trail during Doughnut Day yesterday. Didn’t get to enjoy either.

We’ve had a few people over to help fell trees, but nothing social. It gets me quite concerned about the start of school when I drive past restaurants and bars that are packed. So many people at stores going about their business as if everything is normal. I can say the anxiety I’m facing about the start of next school year is similar to what I felt in the days after our school shooting.

Is it weird I can’t remember the old one? It had some red, maybe? (Checking previous posts does no good; the avatar changes for all of them.) Funny how my brain just stops seeing things, like driving the usual route, and then seeing a newly vacant site and not remembering what used to be there.
06/06/2020 at 8:23 pm #2066649You’re right. I had a red autumn maple leaf in the water from Port Wing in Bayfield County. Twin Falls Park cache, I believe.
Good memory, amita. You’re still all there!
06/07/2020 at 5:59 am #2066651FTP for Sunday the 7th of June.
More free fishing today, if you want.
06/08/2020 at 7:08 am #2066656FTP for Monday. Everybody ready for Christobol?

06/08/2020 at 8:48 am #2066657After I get my Dad’s lawn mowed, I’ll be ready for him!
A lot of historic events this year; COVID-19, Christobol, Trump tweeting and retweeting every 5 minutes for 16 straight hours…
I’m afraid to ask, “What next?!”
06/09/2020 at 6:32 am #2066659FTP for Tuesday. Woke up to the calm before the storm.
