:ftp:Ā for page 1197!!
07/12/2020 at 6:45 am #2066810FTP for Sunday.
We need to hit page 1200 by months end!
07/12/2020 at 6:53 am #2066811I drove up to Governor Thompson State Park yesterday because one of the caches that I have there received 3 DNFs in a row. Got to GZ and it was sitting right there. It’s a regular lock’n’lock sitting on the ground next to a fallen log, barely covered by a piece of birch bark. I don’t know how anyone could not find it. Well anyway, it was a nice day for a drive, and we found a few other caches. Also visited a waterfall in the area, which was nice.

Finished trimming my Dad’s hedge yesterday. It was 10-13 feet high. It is now back to 8 feet. It goes better when it’s 10 degrees cooler!
07/14/2020 at 1:52 pm #2066818Is anyone else surprised that the GeoTour event in Kentucky next month is still a “go?”Ā It looks like a fun one, but there are already 250 “will attends.”
I realize that the theory is that transmission risks are lower in outdoor spaces, but that many people from all over gathered together in one?Ā No thanks.Ā Our risk factor visuals for our county mention large gatherings….doesn’t matter where, but lots of people gathered in one area.

A little bit. Not sure what their local restrictions might be but if it was here in Dane County it wouldn’t be happening as we are limited to 25 for outdoor gatherings.

I’m surprised, but then I’m surprised at the numbers of people I see in stores with no masks and the images I see of people attending rallies and protests with no social distancing. My 82-year-old mother lives in an assisted living facility, and their current policy allows only one designated visitor per resident. I’m that designated visitor, so I’m taking as much precaution as possible.

07/15/2020 at 12:49 pm #2066835My mom will be 96 in a couple months and lives in her own apartment.Ā Not assisted living or anything, but the complex does have that whole range of options.Ā None of us can go there right now.Ā My brother and his family have visited in the outdoor courtyard at a safe distance with everyone wearing masks.Ā I haven’t seen her since December and we might make a day trip to Minneapolis to do this, too.Ā Dad passed a couple years ago and given her age, so have most of her friends and relatives, so it’s pretty lonely for her.Ā Because of the distance and the more compromised health of Trekkin’s parents, we don’t know when we might be able to visit them.Ā It’s been since November for them.

07/16/2020 at 4:12 pm #2066839I spent time enjoying the comet last night.Ā Got a photo but I’m not real happy with it.Ā I might try another location OR the zoom lens and forget about providing context.Ā I also saw two meteors….one seemed like it was literally right above my head as it blasted over.
