As I have related to many… the COVID-19 virus doesn’t care about your political affiliation. It is a health issue, not a political issue! Treat it as such.
10/03/2020 at 12:06 pm #2067255A post-noon FTP for October 3rd.
10/04/2020 at 8:27 am #2067256FTP for Sunday Funday. My fun today will consist of grading assignments, writing lesson plans, and updating my weekly document outlining my instruction for the week – which is supposed to be posted on the district website for parents to reference, but they have not figured out how to do that yet.

10/05/2020 at 2:16 pm #2067260FTP for Sunday Funday. My fun today will consist of grading assignments, writing lesson plans, and updating my weekly document outlining my instruction for the week – which is supposed to be posted on the district website for parents to reference, but they have not figured out how to do that yet.
When the school year started, we were on a shortened 5-block day. Then they switched it to three blocks, 1, 3, 5. 1st meets every day for 12 weeks. 3 & 5 meet for 6 weeks and then 2 & 4 start. The end of the first 6 weeks was supposed to be this Wednesday. I couldn’t really fit all the required content in, but cut and trimmed and forced stuff to make it work. Then, about a week ago, they decided to give us a few more days, and this Friday was going to be the end. That worked out perfectly. NOW we have until next Tuesday. I don’t know how to go back in time and teach stuff I cut in these extra two days.
I got an email from a parent wondering what kind of 1:1 help I was giving their son. After 5 weeks in class, they didn’t know I was teaching virtually. I also question their mindset if they think I would have been doing the 1:1 sit down time with kids this year like I would have done in the past. That’s what they were expecting.
I have two boys in my 1st block. Every day one gets up and sits right next to his friend. Then they pass a Chromebook back and forth and type on it. No sanitation. They told my proctor teacher that they can be as close as they want with masks on. Then they also say, later in the same class, that masks don’t do anything so they shouldn’t need to wear them.
The best sig is no sig.

10/06/2020 at 8:24 pm #2067264I bet it can’t match the number of walnuts that fell from my Black Walnut tree the past few days. They squirrels can’t keep up:)
