10/13/2020 at 4:36 pm #2067280Today was a busy day for me. I thought I would unwind by reading the day’s posts. But alas, it seems I am FTP.
10/14/2020 at 6:23 am #2067281FTP for Wednesday. Rainy day activities on board today. Cold weather coming ends the painting for the fall (I think). Hope to go caching sometime this week.

10/15/2020 at 9:45 am #2067283Do I get to claim my Earthcache Souvenir if I spent all weekend cutting grass and tilling soil?

10/15/2020 at 10:00 am #2067284AFHS has three teachers home on quarantine since last Friday due to a kid testing positive. The kid is actually already back in school, but the teachers don’t come back until Monday. Looks like our self-contained SPED class is also on quarantine. I wondered how they were going to handle those kids all summer. It seems like our plan was to not really have a plan for them. Band and choir are still meeting.
Westfield had to cancel the football game at AF because they couldn’t field a team. Their volleyball team only has 11 girls so they only brought a “varsity” team to play us this week. Their school is also still open.
We just now, as I write this, got an email explaining how we are now going to be allowing outside groups to use our gym for “open gym” again with restrictions. The email also give suggestions from the Medical College of Wisconsin about how to handle Trick or Treating.
I’m sorry if I offend someone when I say this, but I haven’t left my property in over two weeks, and that was to get a curbside pickup of a month’s worth of groceries. I’m getting beyond angry at trying to be maskless kids that are in the classes I teach “in-person” who don’t appreciate the risk people like my family have been under for all these months, and will be for some time to come.
And finally, in one hour from now, 11 AM on October 15th, the 2020 Census will stop counting people. We still have work to do in Milwaukee and Madison, not so sure about LaCrosse and other bigger cities.

10/15/2020 at 4:22 pm #2067286uws22? Long time, no thread steal!
10/15/2020 at 4:59 pm #2067287I had predicted that in-person classes would last 3 weeks before we went virtual. 6 weeks in now, and we’re still teaching in-person.

10/16/2020 at 6:32 am #2067288FTP for Friday on a surprisingly snowy morning! Yikes! I covered some of the garden but with continuing colder temps overnight I think I’ll kiss it good-bye. 🙁
