          Happy Thursday!

Well, this will help if I start placing caches in that area. Still not much of a response from the local counties. Waushara Co tried to call me back when I was teaching. Fun fact, the secretary for the Parks Department has a voice mail message that continually loops, but never allows you to actually leave a message. My students got a real kick out of it. “Hello, this is…leave a message after the beep.” <beep> “Hello, this is…”

I just realized how long it’s been since I’ve been here regularly. The geodog that is my icon was put down a little over a month ago. Just old age, but we still miss him incredibly.

Our son told us about a month before that about how he had met someone online and was going to move to Latvia to be with her. We spent an entire year locked down to keep him protected from Covid, and still live a very sheltered life…and he’s moving across the globe. He landed there yesterday.

My wife is going back to school to get a degree in Psychiatry from UWSP. Our daughter is dating someone (although she still doesn’t leave the house much). She will be attending UW Marshfield before following mom to Point.

          I’m still teaching at Adams.

My dad moved out of the house he had been in since 1963. That was difficult. Not so much because of things in the house – he hasn’t changed anything since my mom died in 2008 – but because we are ‘close’ but not ‘close enough’ to easily get up there to help him out. We had two weekends we were able to go up. Oh yeah, we had an extra ‘son’ for a couple months because one of our real son’s friends from Ohio moved in with us before he moved to Germany before he plans to join the French Foreign Legion.

          Really.

Anyway, the two boys helped move big stuff my (older than me) relatives couldn’t manage.

Now, the plan is to declutter our new house and sell of big things like a camper and tractor we don’t use or need. We went from an old farmstead with acres to mow and care for to about 1/2 the acreage of land covered with oak and no real clearing.

Sometimes, I manage to get caching.

              Good morning.

Sounds like you are staying very busy Noonan.

                FTP for 6/11!

                #2069720

Pet peeve: People that get FTF but don’t log them for over an hour. However, I keep finding places to try to fish in the process.

                FTP for 6/12

In my defense, not all of us are phone cachers.

The buck stops here. . .and gets entered into Where's George.

                🙂

                FTP on 6/14

I was an hour behind the FTF on those caches and they were local cachers, so they were probably home before I got to the caches.

Anyway, this cache is my latest “I hate this cache but I will find it”. Did some after supper cache hunting outside Nekoosa last night. FTF, LCG DNF (as expected), Find, DNF, and then that monstrosity.

Rain today means no caching while we organize things around the house. 100 degrees (?) on Wednesday probably means no caching that day either.

Probably a good time to restock my caching backpacks with supplies instead.

Hmmm, my log from 2010 said that this was a “Quick grab on my way through town.”

Becky and I had a long search for the starting point for that cache. Found it though.
