:ftp: for page 1352!!
09/17/2023 at 5:56 am #2072035FTP for September 17th.
09/17/2023 at 9:03 am #2072036I understand how the LCG bookmark list is generated, but there is at least one that shouldn’t be on the list that is. I “refound” Peanut Gallery and claimed the points. It is still on the list. Is there no easy way to get them off the list other than having someone “find” them? I mean, I could log on as my wife and have her “find it” to get it off the list for the next time it is generated…
I see I have at least one more that I have already found that made the latest list too.

09/17/2023 at 1:16 pm #2072037“Peanut Gallery” is still on the list because there has been no new finder in over three years. Your “refind” gets you points for that, and now no one else can get points for checking on that particular hide until someone logs a DNF. Then someone can check to see if it is still there and get new recheck points. Also, as the CO if I were to make and log a maintenance check, that cache would not be eligible for rechecking points until a new DNF. Someone finding and logging a certain cache for the very first time, whether or not they are playing the LCG, would take that cache off the next new LCG list. There is no limit to how many people can log a cache for their first time locating it and take game points while it is on a current list, but only the first finder who logs for points in that time frame will get the bonus points for the cache being long-term lonely.

09/18/2023 at 7:47 am #2072039FTP for Monday the 18th!
09/18/2023 at 6:14 pm #2072040Well, instead of getting the free and easy points, I decided to try for a FTF on a new cache in the Leola. Another hide from someone with under ten finds. Three of us looking for over an hour couldn’t come up with it. If you look at the write up, it really isn’t written as a traditional. Maybe an offset/puzzle cache? Maybe a letterbox?
This has become an unfortunate regular occurrence in the Rapids/Point area. Is there anything that we can do about this?

09/18/2023 at 7:05 pm #2072041Not sure what the Oak Island map would do to help, did you look at it? I agree, probably not a Traditional.

09/21/2023 at 3:50 pm #2072050Hi Becca! Yes, please bring friends! This thread is the most “active”, if you can call FTP active. It would be great to get a few threads going to post in or read each day.
09/22/2023 at 5:50 am #2072051Yea! It’s a Friday FTP. Going to Duluth today for a bit of caching! Looks like the last warm day for a bit.
I’d Rather Be Lost Geocaching, Than Found At Home!
09/22/2023 at 7:45 am #2072052Aw, Duluth is beautiful! I’m sticking close to home this weekend but I’m hoping to get a few caches hidden, at least. I have grand ideas, I just need to get them done.
