FTP for Tuesday!
02/17/2015 at 7:06 am #2035741Yes, I plan on creating an EarthCache there soon.

I’m going armchair log it because I have already been there! Just saying… Ha! J/K
I drove past it a few times. Does that count?

02/17/2015 at 7:55 am #2035742Woke up during the night to find four deer wandering around our yard…saw a black squirrel under the feeder yesterday…and the pileated woodpecker showed up again on Sunday in a tree right outside our living room window. It flew off before I could snap a pic though. Apparently the cold weather isn’t slowing their activity. The deer have been raiding the sunflower seeds out of my birdfeeder.

02/17/2015 at 8:20 am #2035743The best thing I ever had in our yard was a pheasant once. There was a black bear wandering around apparently at 4AM one year a block or two away. Does that count for anything? (We live in town, not really near any water). I wish a Pileated would come to our yard. Lucky you!
02/17/2015 at 8:40 am #2035744We saw 6 antelope coming back from town on Saturday. Haven’t seen them in a long time!
There is a small herd of black tailed deer that roams around school. Some mornings I see them. The best sig is no sig.

You live where “the deer and the antelope play.”

02/17/2015 at 9:05 am #2035746I had a bear tear down my bird feeders about 15 years ago. Found two seed feeders trashed below where they had hung, found the suet cage out in the woods a couple years later.
Didn’t see or hear the bear but didn’t find any sign of aliens either so I’m going with bear.

Where I live, I “bearly” see anything – certainly never a bear….

02/17/2015 at 10:40 am #2035748We used to get opossum, skunks, woodchucks and raccoons at our place in Waukesha. Well, that and your typical squirrels and rabbits.

I mount deer antlers and had a set of them come in from a black-tail a few years ago…had a 28 inch spread….phenomenal since they’re such a small variety of deer. I’ve never had a whitetail anywhere near that large come in.

02/17/2015 at 1:27 pm #2035750Kind of boring today. No kids in school today and I got my work done really fast.
