02/21/2015 at 12:41 am #2036005I suppose I should find my receiver before going to the event tomorrow. Haven’t seen it since last month. Then again, I know how to get to the event location without it.
Just make sure you can find your camera.
02/21/2015 at 7:19 am #2036006Believe it or not, I haven’t touched my camera in that amount of time either! (But I do know where it is.)

02/21/2015 at 10:49 am #2036009Have fun being Lonely. Snowy Owl sighting yesterday in a park with three caches I have not found. I am going to give it another try.
02/21/2015 at 2:20 pm #2036012Working on my accounting project didn’t go as well as planned, so went and found some caches instead. Some of them were even FTFs 😀
02/21/2015 at 3:54 pm #2036013In Bend. We dressed for 60s and got 40s with hard white stuff falling out of the sky that bounces on the pavement. 10+ degrees warmer and sunny back home. 🙁
Got two finds on the way up for two Delorme pages. Two more one the way home (the plan at least) for two more pages.
Scrapping plans for anything else, but we did spend bucks on two new iBooks at the Apple Store. The best sig is no sig.
02/21/2015 at 5:32 pm #2036015No Owls.

02/21/2015 at 6:11 pm #2036018I spotted a Snowy Owl on our way home from the LCG event. Unfortunately, I IDed it just as we got close, we were on Highway 10 and the next turnaround spot by then was almost Marshfield. So…no photo. At least I can claim my Snowy Owl sighting for the year. I also spotted an Osprey south of the Mead and then got a nice look at a Northern Rough Legged Hawk south of Marshfield. Better luck with the birds than the caches, actually!

This was my vantage point. The snowy has been seen frequently here. It was a great place to hang out with the gulls today.
02/21/2015 at 8:16 pm #2036024I see postings on the birdlist about that owl from time to time. Too bad it didn’t make it’s appearance, but I have birding friends who absolutely love gulling.

We spotted what was most likely an eagle’s nest as we went and visited Gilligen’s Island.
