Thanks for the puzzle Pat.
Did it on my phone. 80 pieces in an inch and 1/8,by an inch and 5/8, what a fun and frustrating excersize.
30:34.11/28/2014 at 11:58 am #2030870Bonanza now has a bug hotel. None for people but one for TBs. Got the new cemetery cache and see there is space for another one but no easy place to hide one. Liked the placement of the one there though. Guess there was a virtual there back in ’02 that didn’t last too long

11/28/2014 at 12:13 pm #2030895Ok, is there a way to search for archived caches? I can run a PQ for disabled ones, but that isn’t what I’m looking for…

11/28/2014 at 12:51 pm #2030896One way of looking for archived caches is to look at a caching history of a long time local cacher. Look back on his earlier finds and you might find what you are looking for.
11/28/2014 at 12:58 pm #2030897I’m looking for a map/listing of local archived caches 🙂 I’m looking for something that will save time.
The search function on the website has never made me happy. The “advanced search” is less powerful than the basic search, except you can filter out your finds/hides.
Pocket queries are fine, but there isn’t an option to look for archived hides. Disabled comes up, but that’s different than archived.

11/28/2014 at 1:18 pm #2030898Unless you know the gc number, I don’t think there is a way unless you do the old cacher thing. Even then, you might have to have some idea of the name.

11/28/2014 at 1:34 pm #2030900Here’s an old …gc3f17 but no idea where it was located.
11/28/2014 at 1:46 pm #2030901That’s 197 miles north of here 🙂
I know there were one or two around Bonanza, but I don’t know where or when.

If you know the hider you can look at their profile. You also could look at challenge caches that might have used that cache if it unique. Someone might have it on their bookmark list for the challenge.

11/28/2014 at 6:04 pm #2031012Asked Quad Explorer about adopting some caches and reactivating the virtuals. Still peeved about not having a way to do this quickly.

I’m looking for something that will save time.I can help you out with that… No PMs here (yet), but you can email me the area and I’ll send either a PQ or a map.
