With any luck, folks will soon be able to begin to crack the code known as “Yoopanese.” More to follow when inspired.

Between the posts here and on FB there is no way I will get out of taking Vicki to see Cinderella.

Mr. GT wants to see the Frozen short.  He is using Sunshine as an excuse.  We know the truth.

This isn’t exactly yoopanese, but similar… So my husband was an arabic linguist in the army for a while. The first day at the Defense language Institute his commander asked the class if they could translate the language he’d written on the board. He had been using this same code for years and no one had ever been able to read it. My husband got it right away and stunned the room. The commander had taken a thick northern Minnesota accent (think Ole and Lena) and written it out phonetically.

And on a related note, one of his classmates was from Kentucky. It’s pretty weird hearing arabic being spoken with a thick Kentucky accent.
