We had seven finds this November, the smallest number in a month for us since December of 2008. Too much to do at the start of the month, then the cold hit, and then the snow. Hunters in the woods and Thanksgiving plans and prep always cut down on our finds late in the month.

I have zero finds for November and 36 total for the YEAR of 2014. First, it was not having a reliable car for most of 2014 until early summer. Then it was not having the time to get out to find caches.

I’ve been in Green Bay a few times running errands but did not bother to find a cache when I was there because generally from my experience in Green Bay, a typical cache is a nano in a stop sign so I avoid Green Bay for the most part even though it is the closest urban area that has plenty of unfound caches for me.

I had 9 finds this month, due to bad weather, lack of interest or unsure footing.

We had 62 finds for this November. Admittedly we’re some of those strange people who kinda like winter (even though it’s not winter yet). It also helps when you live close to a large metropolitan area with numerous unfound caches. We’ve maybe cleared out most of the thousand or so closest to us, but there’s probably at least another 500 or more we haven’t found yet within 10 miles. Kim and I plan on caching on Monday, not for the numbers, but because it provides exercise (we try to get 10,000 steps/day), and it’s good for us as a couple because it’s something we can do together year round. Must dress in layers to keep warm though, and avoid hunting areas for now.

56 for the month. Still over 200 to find in Klamath and that isn’t counting the ones along the OC&E trail or the ones in the hills.

Would be more but my situation is the opposite of Hack’s, which is the opposite of what we had planned it to be

November – did that happen already? I thought we were still in October. Oops.

I survived the weekend with my rambunctious grandsons and caught the second half of that great Packer win after getting home late yesterday afternoon. And now it’s time to fire up the computer for cyber-Monday.
I did manage to find three caches early last month before the surgery…may have to rely on an event for my December cache. Truth be told, I’m not too anxious to venture outside anyway…will rely on all of your logs to live vicariously for a while. Don’t let me down:)

I don’t know how many we found last month, but it’s not a number like we’ve found in years past. Our interest in going out caching has waned some. We still get out to get our exercise, but it might be while birding, walking the dogs, now skiing or snowshoeing, or heaven forbid….just going for a hike. There are only 37 unfound caches within 50 miles of our house. Three we own. Four are challenges we aren’t interested in pursuing. Quite a few we have no interest in seeking….high visibility areas.

Glad we have many other interests to keep us entertained!

Okay, I just counted them up…..42 plus our event in November. Keeping in mind that a couple years ago, that would have been a count for us for a single day of caching and we’re way, way down. And two of our trips to cache were an excuse to visit nearby wineries! We just have a tougher time justifying constant travel to allow us to go caching these days, which is what is what’s needed in our case.

1 find in NOV and a event. Not bad if I do say so myself :p

We found 101 and also did over 20 maintenance checks on hides of ours. We did a lot of hiking in November since I’m on a fitness kick right now. Got to a point this fall that there are caches we did in spring of this year that I would have a hard time doing now. I lost 10 pounds in November and have a goal of another 5 by the end of the year. I don’t feel old, but my knees do and the weight loss has helped.

            #2031939

I know a lot of our time in November involved cache maintenance, too. I have not made any conscious effort at weight loss in years and years and years. Yet….my increased yoga practice over the past several months seems to have had an effect. The philosophy is that whatever you need will happen if you commit to it. Good for you! It’s always tougher to take it off when we get older.

And RJ…considering you’re deployed….that’s awesome! Thank you for your service.

Usually I gain 10 pounds over winter so this was like losing twenty and I feel great.

I guess I only found 10 caches in November 9 owned by the man with the left hand malady(Maybe, he is just a bit ‘wicked’). It has been too cold and the itch has not struck.

I spent the morning at the hospital. Mom had the other knee replaced. Everything went as planned. I have a bit of a cold so they put me in a bubble. I was the only one available to sit with dad, who goes just a bit crazy during these situation.

I am about to enter another fun situation. It appears my mom-in-law got a pop up on her computer locking her screen telling her something and to call a number. She gave out her personal info and a nominal fee (credit card) to fix her “problem”. Already cancelled credit card, she disabled her antivirus for them to download some software. Just a Mess.
