I don’t think we’ll get a TB. We never do.
It’s a conspiracy, I’m sure of it!
03/23/2015 at 9:15 pm #2037731We haven’t either

03/23/2015 at 9:29 pm #2037735TB came in the mail today
Our passports came in the mail today. We’re not going anywhere, but some of our travel plans may take us near the Canadian border, and if we decide to cross it, we will be allowed back into the States now. Took only two weeks for us to get them. Guess our backgrounds are pretty straightforward. They must not have checked my TS forum posts…
03/23/2015 at 9:40 pm #2037738No TB here.
Logs from Sandlanders and Greenthumb in the inbox. :like:
We are waiting for the older one’s passport to arrive. It only has been a week.
Celebrated dad’s birthday tonight.
I gave up soda for lent. I really want a coke right now.
03/23/2015 at 9:51 pm #2037741It’s too bad Labrat isn’t riding the rails on the same route we did our one semi-long train trip back in ’88. It had its own song to sing for all those hours:
03/23/2015 at 11:26 pm #2037742I had some good western BBQ for dinner tonight. Yum!

03/23/2015 at 11:36 pm #2037743Thanks SL,
You triggered a great memory. I can remember that song playing on one of those small, black, single-speaker radios. We were in cabin #1 on the shores of Pioneer Lake at the Sunset Resort near Conover, WI. I can still hear it in the back ground as my late grandparents were playing cards with my aunt, my uncle, and my parents. I was on an enclosed porch on cots with my brothers and cousins going to ‘sleep’ on a warm summer evening. It had to be around July of 1983 (It could have been the 4th week, because my brother lit his pants on fire with a bottle rocket). I can still smell the stale PBR and cigarette smoke hanging in the humid air.
Good Times. Hard to believe that only half of the card players are still with us.
Closest Cache GC146NQ . The resort is closed. I can still see the cabins on satellite view. I might get the two caches on the lake someday.
