OK TSrs … I put in a code for a TB I discovered in a cache today. I’m sure it is the right code but it says it hasn’t been activated yet. Do I go back and get it or hope the owner activates it for others? As it is, I don’t think they will be able to know where it is and I don’t know who they are. HELP!
was it a new cache? FTF gift? do you know who placed it in the cache? Guessing that if it was unactivated, whomever gets it first has opportunity to make it their own so if you feel that the cache owner placed it with intentions of activating, and not too far away to retrieve until the determination can be made, I would retreive it otherwise emailing the person placing it in the cache may be your only option.
(assuming you tried all the B/8 O/0 permutations, but if it said not activated instead of does not exist, you likely got it correct)

I emailed four of the most recent loggers that stated they had placed a TB. So far, one has responded and she said she also got the same message. I’ll go back and get it tomorrow and see if I can track down the owner from home. It isn’t a new cache http://coord.info/GC3WT6Y.

04/10/2015 at 12:00 am #2038621I am starting to dread this time tomorrow night. I have three teenage ladies spending the evening here. They wanted to have a Hunger Games Film Marathon, so we volunteered our home for the sleep over event.

You know where they are and what they’re doing. With teens, that is always a good thing.
04/10/2015 at 7:48 am #2038625I have a friend who told me that he had an inch of rain Tuesday night. He lives a few miles South of me (subSaharan East sandland ?) so I don’t know how accurate this is for me. Anyway it reminded me to put out my rain gauge.
Wednesday night -.6″, yesterday and last night -1.6″.
It looks like the drought is over until the winds dry everything out next week.
04/10/2015 at 11:09 am #2038626Not a whole lot of rain here in OC but we woke up with the dreaded “s” word on the ground this morning…it’s gone now:)

04/10/2015 at 11:19 am #2038627Glad to hear that, bartrod, since our plans involve heading up that way after the ts event. S is still on the ground here, but not in LaCrosse. The bluff running north south in LaCrosse seems to be the dividing line.
