04/12/2015 at 10:04 pm #2038721Got back from Stevens Point this p.m. to find T&B were in Oconto this weekend…sorry I missed you. There appeared to be quite a bit of caching going on in the area…warm weather sure brought out the cachers!
I also found out, unfortunately, that making a come back to Santa’s nice list may be much harder this year…thanks a lot, Mr. GT:(Oconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)
04/12/2015 at 10:45 pm #2038722Got up to Bly today for the first time since we moved here. Found half the caches there (4). Before my better half said enough. She got some good pictures.
There is a road south of there that has a dozen caches not found in over two years, a couple only have one or two finds.
We didn’t go that way 😉 but maybe soon.
All in all a good day. Guess I should put “caching in Bly” on the grocery list more often. It only added 3 extra hours to our day!The best sig is no sig.

He sure can be a troublemaker, although he and Trekkin’ were tenacious and retrieved a nearly unretrievable cache on Saturday. It was pretty entertaining to behold. We’ll be back in Oconto sometime.

04/13/2015 at 9:22 am #2038730Sorry for the size. I am playing trying to figure out some hosting image issues.

Actually, he did not want his picture taken… again.
Since the frickin’ huge picture did not stretch the posts in width, I didn’t mind it. In fact, the larger photo really emphasizes the details, like the texture of the mane. Not that I have ever petted a lion, but I could almost feel it from the photo.
04/13/2015 at 10:07 am #2038734I love that photo, courageous or not!
We had a great time caching up around Gov Thompson yesterday. It was all really nice….literally had the whole park to ourselves all day…but a major highlight for me? We watched a woodcock do his strut across the pavement at the boat landing. I’ve always wanted to see one do that. Usually they just scare the crap out of me as I’m walking in the woods and flush them.
