We saw our first serpent yesterday….baby timber rattler that would not vacate the narrow ridge top rocky trail. Bloodroot, Dutchmen’s breeches, spring beauty and round-lobed hepatica have all been seen around these parts the past week, along with some marsh marigolds.
Major spring housecleaning is just about done. We’re in a space clearing mood, too. I passed off a pile of storytelling books to a friend heading to the big conference to be sold at the fundraiser. Wish I could have brought them myself. The conference is getting way too expensive for someone who has maybe one paid gig a year these days. 🙁
