It is only five days until Friday. This week is a bit busy. We have 3 shows of Miracle on 34th Street, Orchestra concerts for both ladies, a December Birthday celebration (even though her birthday is next Sunday), and all the other usual stuff. After next Sunday, I have no single-digit children.
We had our second-annual sheephead holiday party honoring my father’s father Saturday. I had a great time with my cousins. We all enjoyed watching our children play. We are trying to set it up so we can get together more than the three times a year. The house is beginning to look like a Christmas wonderland. There is more fake craphas indoors than real craphas outdoors.
I have never experienced the anomaly mentioned above.
12/07/2014 at 11:25 pm #2032246there are certain things about the old web site that I miss.
There are a LOT of things I miss about the old website, but it was built on software from the last century. (really) Bloated, inefficient, not user friendly to administrate, very little (no) new development, security holes including SQL injection via unchecked PHP code, didn’t play well with some search engine indexes, does not use simple URLs or unique titles for pages… I could go on all night.
Work is continuing to make the site better and easier to use. If there is something you really miss, suggest it in the To Do thread. Otherwise I’m forced to guess what people want. 🙂12/07/2014 at 11:27 pm #2032247Where did page 30 go?
Right HERE.

The best sig is no sig.
12/08/2014 at 8:09 am #2032249I couldn’t log in from page 31 after catching up on the pages. Couldn’t log in from page 30 and finally was able to log in and post from page 29. SL, are you on Charter? Anyone else on Charter?
12/08/2014 at 8:10 am #2032250Noonan, they took the whole container??????????
12/08/2014 at 8:43 am #2032252We’re on Charter, but I haven’t seen too much of this weirdness. When I read the drivel earlier this morning, I scrolled down and it showed me as not logged in. I logged in, but had nothing drivel worthy to say then.
I need to get to work on putting lights on the tree.
12/08/2014 at 9:04 am #2032253Not Charter.
It seems that when I log in, it never shows me as logged in until I leave the initial page, even though I clicked “submit” or whatever. I can live with that and the other weirdness.
I am going to try to switch my avatar to my Christmas one, so I will see how that works. As far as the new website goes, I am taking a page from the state parks motto: “EXPLORE AND ENJOY”
12/08/2014 at 9:10 am #2032255<—- It worked!
12/08/2014 at 10:29 am #2032257<—- Yep.
12/08/2014 at 11:09 am #2032260YR SL … easy to work around it once you realize it is happening.

Check the string, replace the duds, put it up…doesn’t work now! Plug it back in on the floor, it appears a bunch of lights on half the string blew…now we’re replacing those.
Personally I think it’s time to go to Target.
12/08/2014 at 1:58 pm #2032264It seems it is impossible to get an oil change without a technician urging you to do one of the following: replace your flux capacitor (sarcasm), sea foam cleaning, brake balancing, engine and cabin filters, and new tires (mail in rebate this month). It is ironic that both of our cars need the exact same things, it must be a Toyota thing.
12/08/2014 at 2:44 pm #2032265I like the new Christmas avatars…wish I could modify mine.

It must be the Christmas gremlins…same thing happens to me…every year. They lay lurking in storage silently awaiting until you put them up…then zappo!

12/08/2014 at 4:00 pm #2032266This FTP sat for over an hour… true proof that the FTP has lost its luster. 🙄
